Kind of intense cute fun and DGZ looks and acts like a puppy here. Marry my Husband is one my top favorite dramas so the similar plot points are a treat. Really loving the FL too.
I remember when this came out the rating was a 9.0. Oh how the mighty as fallen xD
The first few episodes were well done and seen as fresh when compared to previous dramas that were airing. Then….it got repetitive and the rating slowly dropped. People complained about Hye Yoon’s screaming, Haru being boring, shipping Baek with Dan oh which conflicted with Haru shippers, it was a mess lol
His company should choose better scripts for him, they are just taking anything following quantity over quality…
Chinese film industry is known to abuse and exploit its workers. It's sad but that's just the way it is. You would think after Godfrey Gao 's death there would be a wake up call.

I agree. If he doesn't get better scripts then he'll definitely fall off. I'm seeing all sorts of new young short drama actors enter the industry at a fast rate. Ma Xiao Yu is one clear example whose very popular with Chinese viewers at the moment. It's getting more competitive as the short drama industry grows.
Jessie Ren is the ML from Embrace the Dark Knight. He exploded from that role with both international and in China. Something happened with his girlfriend on a promotional livestream and the FL and he was tarnished for it. Then they dug up old videos and he got mocked on social media. It sucks because I'm hoping that craziness doesn't affect him receiving scripts in the future.

Some assumed he had additional filler, but he didn't. He's prone to extreme swelling and he's been having alot of immune system problems. And back surgery was done awhile back.
After Sadistic Love which was filmed a year ago he had to take a break because his health was so bad. And of course the twitching is because he doesn't get any sleep. If you watched any of his BTS, you'll notice that his face tweaking out and it's due to stress. He can consciously control it when filming dramas but sometimes I'll leak into final product.
Personally, I think he's still doing decent with viewers for a web drama actor. MDL may not be the biggest fans but he still gets lots of attention on social media. Those Chinese media companies that upload full length cdramas (the ones with the weird titles lol) upload his dramas and they still have millions of viewers compared to the others that barely break 100k. This includes Heart of Stone, which has a low rating on here, is about to break over a million on one of those random Chinese youtube channels. Companies 100% keep track of that from international viewers so that's part of why the play into it. So atleast he still has some sort of following. But It's changing, he's finally getting more diverse roles like Up in the Air. It's his latest released series, everything else as of now is just stuff he filmed a long time ago.
But I'm more sad about Jessie Ren who I really liked in ETDK. He played the role so well but he got into two silly controversies in China and fell off.

Right, but I do agree with PoojaBansal that doing similar roles gets old. Thankfully, he’s able to branch out currently because he gained a decent following first. The problem with some of these dramas is that they’re airing out of order. This drama was filmed over a year ago yet it’s just being released. Now he’s doing more varied stuff. No doubt, Up in the Air, his upcoming drama with CFT 1998 are all different and were filmed recently. He confirmed it himself. He’s pretty much done with these older roles. Being on variety shows opened up his network a bit and gave him more opportunities like Up in the Air which is one of his actual recent works. Just have to make through a few more delayed releases that are still coming out lol.
I really want to start this but the episode length plus rating is throwing me off. All the male actors I like are either on break, don't do dramas anymore. or take long breaks between series. The only exception is one chinese actor. Quite painful this sounds too overly long and mid because I really like Tae Oh.
