In one of the interviews of the main leads, they mentioned that Duke Su had a long monologue that covered at least 2 pages of script... which episode was that for, anyone know? I didn't notice any super long monologue, maybe the production cut it into a short scene?

To me, cos the Duke wasn't explicitly shown making the command to get reinforcements

One of the lines in the monologue said "she asked me to convey her thanks in the midst of her busy schedule". I took it to mean that the actress was busy and not just the character

I think Duke was his title as a Noble in the royal hierachy, but he had other roles, e.g. secret investigator for the Emperor, and later as the commander of the Longwu Army, since he was so trusted by the Emperor.

About calling for reinforcements, I think they didn't have time to. They were clearly in the final part of the battle, with only Lord Dai and a few of his men left to defeat. There was no way to stop the battle at that point to call for reinforcements.

Yes, but i think the supposed wrongful arrest is a pretext for the Emperor to get Duke Su to stay at home and get out of harm's way. We shall see tomorrow... i just dont think the Emperor suddenly stopped being buddies worh Duke Su.
