Can someone tell me a little bit about the novel. He wanted to keep the relationship private. Spoilers are accepted
Ml is an arrogant , conceited man who doesn't know anything about love . He has been in past relationships but as soon as his girlfriend's got serious he used to break up with them. So he was tired of it. Fl is a newbie in the company who got hired cause of HR and the ml was totally against it as he felt she was not from a good university, shy , not confident and thought that she would be a liability to the team . So he urged her from the day of her joining that she should resign. But fl is a very hardworking, easy going girl who gets along with her colleagues well and puts serious effort to stay in the company. Fl is not ml's type . But he starts kind of getting attracted to her but doesn't realise it. Also he realises fl has a crush on him and knows she is a honest type of girl . So he kind os devices a plan where they get into a FWB relationship. Their relationship stretches for almost six years where in between they breakup and makeup . But I have to say that ml is truly an asshole in terms of speech . He is very cruel with his words towards fl . But profession wise he is very strict about it , even though he is in high position he works very hard , no shortcuts and encourages talented people . He guides fl whenever she has any doubts in any tasks . As they say in Reuters that he over estimated himself and underestimated love. If you see from a 3rd person perspective it's ml who was always jealous of people around fl . Fl was clear headed about the relationship from the beginning, never asked ml for any help which always used to irritate ml . Later they officially started dating . But some things happened which led to their breakup . Later they meet after three years .

Actually she was not willing to do another costume drama. But her boss yu zheng forced her to accept it. He signed this drama for Wang xing yue without his consent. And then released a statement saying that he has asked bailu to consider this drama. And said that Wang xing yue is the male lead. If bailu agrees for this drama then it'll be S++ production if not it'll be S . So he asked her to consider it and released this statement. It was like baliy was stuck in between. She wanted to do a different genres . She also mentioned that she doesn't want to do wuxia or xianxia or costume drama for a while as she has been continuously filming this genre back to back .
