HiiI'm very interested in your opinion as a Manga reader! Can you please tell me if the drama's ending resembles…
Hello, let me write some. Just finished the last episode on Netflix. And too many things left unexplained,
First, excuse me for my poor English.
Actually the dorama version made Kyoko "less cruel" than in manga.
She drugged Akazawa, and asked for Narukawa's help to throw him from apartment. Komugi and Matsukaze rushed to the apartment to confront them. After caught redhanded, Kyoko was trying to kill Matsukaze but Komugi covering him.
Komugi: "I won't let you kill my precious people even more." Kyoko: "There's no way I could kill my own daughter."
When the police arrived, Kyoko also want to kill herself, and stopped by Komugi, same with dorama.
The manga also explained further about Kyoko's past. She and her brother, Mikio were neglected by their parents. His father told them to just stay at home. Kyoko was safe because she ran away then Akazawa found her, and gave her food. Since this incident, Kyoko always feel hunger towards everything.
The Hayashikawas family murder case explanation almost the same in manga, but there's no Yamashita-san found baby Uta on the first floor and then moved her to second floor. Maybe it was added to add more guilt feeling to Yamashita-san towards Rikiro Endo's testimony. Still wonder why Yamashita-san didn't tell the truth to the other police about baby Uta was on the first floor.
It was Ikumi (the lady on the wheelchair) who covered it all for Kyoko after that incident, so the police didn't track her. Ikumi also the one who told Kyoko, that Yamashita-san was digging further into Higashikayama's case.
Yamashita-san didn't know that Kyoko is Yasunari's lover, because Ikumi lied that his lover was herself.
On that Christmas Eve, Kyoko was the one who visited Yamashita-san. She got triggered over Yamashita-san words, drugged him then burned his apartment. She used his phone to contact Endo Tomoya who was going to buy a kerosene for his stove. He went to the meeting place then hearing there's a fire around, he left his car and found that the kerosene was stolen. That time he realized that it was a trap.
There's no Kyoko's trial shown in the manga. Also no video from Yamashita-san. The reunion between Rikiro and Tomoya was better in dorama. Good job Kamii!! Best bro!!
Manga version also shown that Komugi later became a police officer, cutting her hair really short almost like a boy. She saw Matsukaze but choosing not to call him. The manga is closed showing Komugi and Arisa (Mugi's friend), also Matsukaze and Hasami, eating ramen in different store.
i guess they wanted to show narukawa in a better light and give him a little of a redemption in a jdorama fashion,…
Akazawa! His wife and Narukawa threw Akazawa from their apartment. Poor Akazawa-san 😭 The last stage in manga is Akazawas apartment, not Hayashikawas house.
As a manga reader, I'm a bit disappointed after watching the latest episode. The way they revealed the culprit…
Actually I like the bonds between Matsukaze and Komugi better in dorama, both of them are a bit tense in manga, several times I laughed at their interaction in dorama.
The reunion between Matsukaze and his dad also better in dorama. But still wondering why Kuze-san became the senior of Akazawa (in manga he's the junior of Akazawa)
As a manga reader, I'm a bit disappointed after watching the latest episode. The way they revealed the culprit was too easy rather than in manga. Narukawa caught redhanded in manga while in dorama he just confessed his crime. Well let's see how they'll wrap this up in the last episode.
I downloaded the manga from torrent, it still in Japanese. The total manga is 7 volume, I read the first and second vol. in MangaDex.
