I'm not sure this was the first script the main leads read, i heard they even did the same to yang yang a famous chinese actor, gave him a script and once he signed up, they changed it, also saw it in a thai drama where a sponsor asked for a script change. Or perhaps the writer just doesn't know how to prolong the story without the love triangle sub(main) plot, if the leads just started dating earlier, i don't think most people will continue watching... either that or the writer is on a conquest to ragebait the viewers as much as they can.

Why would they do this? You can't tell me that she was better than every other actress that Auditioned for this role, was it handed to her? Bought for her or something like that, because they could have hired a better and more mature actress, yet they deliberately chose not to, people work with incentives in mind, so what could be the incentive of deliberately shooting yourself in the foot, is it a publicity stunt?
