If the series focused on the relation between jeon and yoo would have been way better. Could have been made it so the lack of attitude of jeon wasnt only fear but also some kind of romantic affection for the main villain, as it is hinted that she reminded him of his wife (that lack could have been expanded instead of ignored). The rest (the guy that hated yoo that had a relationship with her, the whole plot made to paralel the situation of jeon with the killer that ruined the family business of the lodge and eventual revenge of their soon and etc) were weak. Overalll could have been way bettet
It was a funny goofy fun show and the actors were pretty likable, the ML was great. I think people are expecting too much "depth" from this show when they criticize it, which doesnt make sense. Only reasonable complaint that made sense so far that i saw was how annoying the cop FL was, which i agree and due to her behavior towards Han Joon at the starting episodes but not something awful and that ruined the show like some people are making it to be. The minandang crew were pretty great. The nice emotional moments were also cool.
What i found odd about the show was how apparently the cop was younger than Han joon when they really appear to be of tbe same age, it didnt made sense those few scenes of her as a kid at all. Same repeats with aunt Im and gu tae soo, in which he apparently is the same age as Do Won and met aunt Im when he was little but she didnt age.
Anyway, pretty good show for sure, a "feel good" type.
I think it is not the FL but the character she played was just badly written, the trope of strong independent…

The only thing that didnt make sense was her being protrayed as younger than the ML (because she looks just as old as him, so it didnt made sense), same with gu tae su with aunt Im (aunt Im didnt aged)

Your complaint of "pushing diversity" is about there having black characters in the show, BUT..... did you watch…
They barely appeared, the definition of background forgetable characters (not even can be considered characters). It was in the conference of the dating app at the first episode, where some foreigners were present and it made sense, it was a new app being released and people from other companies did come to the presentation.
I understand what you are saying and i am not against it, i just dont think hating this series as an example of that makes sense.

The conflict between prosecutors and police got more confusing to follow and the sparse cases, while enjoyable, were constantly interrupted by more conflict of prosecutors vs police. In the first season that part of the show was more balanced and close to perfection.
Regardless, still great to watch. I remember enjoying it a lot. Very likable to watch, very enjoyable.
Idk why mo mi never told the mother of the guy that she killed that her daughter kim mi mo was her kid.... the mother never knew she was actually trying to murder her grandchild. Not even when she was pregnant of him.
