Not too sure but from the book, it is said that she married another guy but she wouldn't have the same feelings she had with fu xiao si (don't really remember because I read it a long time ago but something like "I would never be so concerned about someone(him) not eating" and the emotions she experienced with him). In ep 45-46 somewhere there, you see her with a guy and they stop at fu xiao si's art gallery, I think that's her new bf/husband idk. But for the most part, the end is to show how he will always be waiting for her, personally this is how I infer it, If you want, try reading the book although I find that one more sad than the drama.
