I am here because i saw comments online saying how this was disappointing... Well, yeah.. the story need a little more work i suppose and the side story was questionable but I really did enjoy this one.. been long time seeing Oguri Shun on this kind of drama.. been a fan of him since Rich man Poor man so I am so happy seeing him here. I really did enjoy this that I could forgo the parts that are lacking.. it is light and the two main lead did well.. I am not familiar with the Korean Actress but she won me over here.. and I love me some chocolatier story too.. it was really fun that i start thinking if I could try making my own chocolates this christmas holidays.. 🤗
This was so heartwarming. So much fun watching this drama. And the countryside vibe is so refreshing. Everyone was so fun. All the silliness and seriousness made me laugh and cry.
Hirano Sho did very well in this version. I mean, the original was good then I suppose, it was so long ago but lets face it Yama-pi is monotone in his acting. 😭✌️✌️ So seeing Hirano here was really refreshing with many facial reactions and variety of expression.
Ohhh I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. This series os so wholesome every episode is so good. Love, Family and Friends wrap up in a very nice ribbon. And the renovation is not implied like every other show but it was really there. I look forward every end off episode to see the renovation done. So very good. And the actors look like they are having so much fun in this series. Mamiya Shotaro is not just smiling and laughing with his mouth he is smiling and laughing with his eyes that every thing about him is just sunshine and daisy and all so wonderful.. did not know that is even possible but well it is. ✌️😊😊 Ohh and the antagonist felt like he was overqualified for his role here. Every smirk and smile the actor did felt like he should be a villain in an epic game of thrones or sherlock holmes movies or something scary, he scream very scary psychopath to me. 🫢😆😆 He did his job very well, so very well that they need to cast him as a villain in a horror thriller show or something very serious.
Over all.. this was a very good wholehearted warm and pleasant jdrama. So peaceful now. 😊

It does not have to be a tail and roaming the sea. But then roaming the ocean isn't bad at all or circusy. They could make it ethereal. Plus it does not have to be little mermaid style where she start singing or all the sea creatures are singing or whatever.

I love Ishihara Satomi but... But!!!!! This drama is written so badly that I can't even go past 5 episodes... They should just removed the fantasy aspect of it since it was conveyed very poorly anyway. She is a mermaid?? Yes because her random talking to sea animals is mermaid enough, her crying stupidly in the beach is also mermaid enough, ugh. If they want that why not commit to it then.. make her a mermaid! Not just saying it implying it. It was bad that I wan't to cry.
I love Ishihara Satomi that is why i came to watched this... I love her. About the story though... Hmmmm.. this is one of those rare moments that I don't support the main leads romance at all. Poor Takashi. Seriously... He was there for her on her most down moments in life . He stayed friends with her until they end up dating.. they were together since then supporting each other and then here comes the other man in the past who run away never caring how would it affect her in his abandonment, doesn't matter that he was selfish and all trying to recreate the moments in the past, why did he even came back?? Because he was sick?? Only?... Hmph. Romance was mehh.. 👉👈 and the mystery was ok-ish. And the end felt so rushed. The whole mystery was focused all through 2-8 episodes and then the conclusion was just 30 or less minutes only??? What??? .. no more clever idea to out the culprit just BAAMM this is the phone and BAAM arrest the culprit and done.. ugh.. that so easy despite him being all powerful and dangerous for the past 20 years?? Huh?? Nothing makes sense.. it does not make sense. What the-----
The writing was so bad. And the fantasy was all over the place.. a confusing mess.. a lot of characters doesn't make sense at all. The only saving grace of this series is the male lead. After episode 5 the rest was very hard to watch. Bad writing.
I would like to love this series but it felt lacking to me. The Hitman in this series are idiots.. haha ,all antics are disappointing in hitman basic standards but its a comedy romance so I suppose everything about the hitman part is scratched or doesn't matter. The funny parts are actually funny and Nakagawa Taishi is really a good actor but something is missing for me... I couldn't pin point it but yeah... it felt like it did not hit the mark. It was alright jdrama.
Over all.. this was a very good wholehearted warm and pleasant jdrama. So peaceful now. 😊
