Love your review so much. Best describe of Yu Huai character. At last minute of the final episode when he said to her he was late again. I wish he could have said what he once wanted to tell her since the last day at the school. Though we didn't know exactly, let just guess a L word would come someday.

Nice, lovely, heartwarming high school drama. I felt nostalgic and moved by their friendship, teachers-students moments. In term of acting, everyone did amazing job especially Tang Song Yun. Her Geng Geng was sweeter and more likeable than the one in the film version imo. Can't believe she is 7years older than LHR but I felt no age gap at all. Liu Hao Ran was so adorable and shine specifically when Yu Huai was at his prime.

Agree with you regarding Tan Songyun's great performance and the way the script writer did to the SML. Why on earth they need to hurt Lu Xinghe just to show how deeply in love Geng Geng is with Yu Huai ? From this aspect, I prefer the film version "My Best Summer " where there is no SML to distract the main couple and make the ML looked too weak.

Can u please tell me what Geng Geng wrote to Yu Huai after she accepted the wedding ring from the SML? I watched on iqiyi and no eng subtitle for that moment?

I have enjoyed it ride. Loads of gags kept cracking me up. I also adored Kang Ha-neul in hilarious roles since Midnight runners. He is such a versatile actor.

Sad for the team and the audience if this drama was cancelled. Any chance to refilm with the new lead actor like last year's Korean drama where Jisoo was replaced by Na In Woo?

I has become Liu Hao Ran's fan after watching NIF2. He catched my attention since the first scene and his acting was really good. I had cried whenever Ping Jing his character cried. Love him in the three Detective Chinatown movies too. He looks naturally cute. It feels like he's a
beloved youngest man in the family. Glad to know he and Wu Lei are good friends as I like Wu Lei since the romance of condor hero 2014 when he played a young Yang Guo. First time when I watched the drama that I didn't want the young main lead to grow up that fast. Wu Lei is so good looking since he was a kid, more importantly, he is a talented actor.

He might not be as handsome as some popular actors but he looks “ordinary unique” having a vibe of the beloved youngest boy in the family. That makes me fond of him right away once I saw him in NIF2 and Detective Chinatown.

I had been enjoyed SS1 and SS2 more in term of storylines. But what I like in SS3 is the director did great job in bringing the actors from 3 countries with different languages to work together pretty well. The four main leads looked like a good team.

The screenplay fell short, just full of blood everywhere. The only thing I like is Jang Dong Gun's acting.

The plot is very interesting but the writing in the second half ruined it. Too many filler episodes and I fed up when the writer tried to shove Young min and Se jin’s love story thru Seung Tug. The saving graces of this show are Rain and Kim Bum. Their charismas and chemistry kept me till the end.

Finished NIF2 and I love it. Give it a try and yes, there are linkages that pay tribute to Mei Chang Su.

When watching half of it I think it’s just a good show but after finishing all of it. It is a VERY GOOD one. This show had deepened character’s motivations and developments. The persons that they chose to become. The writer and actors did great job in portraying Chang Lin family’s value and dignity. Their loves and ties got me cry several times. There might be some slow or boring episodes but the story did pick up and headed to the rational and very satisfied ending. The last four episodes really blew me away. In term of actor, Sun Chun, Tong Li Ya impressed me. They should have had more screen time. Wu Hao Chen won my heart in late episodes. Liu Hao Ran was way too cute in the first half but in the second half his role was more challenging, a bit tough for him, but given that he was 19 at the time of shooting. He did pretty good job though. Huang Xiao Ming as Ping Zhang, did okay but my bad that I kept comparing him with Mei Shang Su whenever he showed his wit. I prefer the latter and Hu Ge acting was flawless.

Since NiF2 took place around 50years later from NiF1, if you remembered the two young princes in the final episode of NIF, the teenager one would become the NiF2's MLs's father. I am on ep.26 and only saw a few seconds of the old Lin Chen in ep1. Seems like he was the only one who still alive. Apart from that had just been mentioned but not much. The story itself is pretty detached from NiF1.

NIF2 is a good classy costume drama too but NIF1 is more brilliant in term of storylines and scripts. You also can feel frustrated sometime in NIF2. This is because the ML in NIF1 is the game-controller while NIF2’s MLs have to struggle with problems caused by the antagonists. However, I like the family bonds in this show alot. And Liu Hao Ran in NIF2 was too cute. For your info, NIF2 couples have more moments than the couples in NIF1. Though,again romance is not the main focus of the show.

Coming back after halfway thru NIF2, I miss Mei Chang Su and have to praise Hu Ge as he portrayed this noble man flawlessly, calm, elegant and so powerful even in his weak state. You can feel that he is master of the game. Though his rivals are tough but he’s tougher.

I am on ep.25, so far so good but NIF1 is more brilliant and not frustrated as this one. This is because the ML in NIF1 is the game-controller while NIF2’s MLs have to struggle with endless problems caused by the antagonist. But I would stay till the end.  Love the family bonds in the show, also can’t get my eyes off Ping Jing. He’s so cute and charismatic. Never get bored of his innocent stubborn face.
