I’m going to share my opinion up to the point I’ve seen (episode 12). This season reminds me of the first one, as if it’s a repeated cycle: same situations, personalities, and behaviors. For example, Nayeon makes me think of Miyeon with her dilemma of being confused and contradictory behaviors (both are like ‘I don’t want to be with my ex, but I also don’t want anyone else to have him’). Jiyeon and Taei are like Coco and Minjae; Haeun begs for attention from her ex, just like Bohyun and Hyesun in the first season. Heedoo is like Juhwi at the beginning: understanding, jealous, and seemingly calm. I feel that the love triangle of Miyeon, Juhwi, and Jungkwon is being repeated with Nayeon, Heedoo, and Gyumin.
The situations were very predictable, based on the first season, and everything was accurate… I knew Nayeon would pay attention to her ex when he started seeing someone else… obviously, I’m only talking up to episode 12, where I stopped.
I’m going to share my opinion on the two love triangles:
Minyoung, Juhwi, and Jungkwon
I felt that Minyoung didn’t want her ex to be with anyone else, but she also didn’t want him back at first. That was my impression when Juhwi chose to send a message to Hyesun for the first time instead of his ex, as he always had. From that moment on, Minyoung started to change and pay more attention to Juhwi.
I also think that Juhwi’s abrupt reactions, which made everyone uncomfortable and created tension, were a factor that caused Minyoung to distance herself from Jungkwon. I came to think she did it because of that. Moreover, on the last day, when Juhwi took her to Jungkwon and they made her talk on the phone near her ex, I thought it was inappropriate since she couldn’t express herself well, and Juhwi’s heavy sighs revealed his discomfort. Personally, I wouldn’t feel comfortable talking to someone else in front of my ex, especially if my ex was making annoyed gestures.
In conclusion, it was best for Jungkwon. He deserved to be with someone who was sure about wanting to be with him and always gave him her attention, rather than being with someone who was confused about her feelings.
Minjae, Bohyun, and Homin
From the beginning, Homin showed a rough attitude towards Bohyun, and I think he is similar to Minyoung in that aspect. It seems that both wait to realize they are losing someone before taking action. It’s very wrong to say that he always loved his ex when he actually hurt her, let her cry, and practically made her beg. If you truly love someone, the last thing you would want to do is hurt them. However, when Homin saw that Minjae was showing interest in Bohyun, that’s when he started wanting to do things right. It seemed that while he was going on dates, everything was fine and he didn’t show much concern. But when no one chose him for dates, it seemed like he backtracked and started paying more attention to Bohyun.
These were the couples most talked about in the finale. I know it’s a show, and I’m just sharing my opinions based on what I saw. 👍
Jungkwon is my favorite character, along with Coco. ❤️
I had my doubts because, at the beginning, Sungyeol expressed that he wanted to meet other people and hoped Jungbin would do the same. Then, when he saw that she said she wanted to do that too, he started saying, ‘You did this, so I did it too,’ even though he was the one who suggested and wanted her to meet others. But anyway, I feel that he chose Hyebin because he wasn’t sure if Jungbin would choose him. I don’t know, that’s what I think and obviously, I could be wrong.
But my favorite couple was Junghoon and Kaya🩷. I really loved everything about that couple. When they found each other, they had no eyes for anyone else, and that’s something I love. Is there a need to want to meet other people when someone catches your attention? I mean, you can get to know others as friends, but I think many on that show (which is normal because it’s a dating show) start wanting to meet someone as a potential romantic interest even when they already have someone who caught their eye.
But I also think there should be something like that on the show to make it more interesting
