I actually really liked this drama at first but the recent episodes just prove that there will be 0 character…
I think u need waiting for full episode if you want to "develope character" cause the character itself developing in the end of part novel around 80-90 chpater from 99 chapter and episode 8(now) is in chapter 60-67 chapter so its still long journey. I mean i got it cause people like fast character development or from weak to strong real fast, its understandable tho cause probably its not your cup of tea for type slow burn series like this( but not me tho cause i love slow burn so much... mean 80% of my BL is slow burn or even like The On1y One that the romance is not even started yet Lmaoo cause season 2 got canceled.... so i think people will react differently)
But i will 100% disagree if the series is bad, the acting is really bad yet people still praise them cause they have handsome face..

Gurl, don't believe this shit rating mdl cause its scam... like i found BL series with rating 6 is much better rather than rating 9 so nope... people only like series that only hype or the handsome actor but majority of mdl doesnt care about story... many people just like their narative or the actor and if story they doesnt like it, they rating it so low even if their acting is soo good...like... bich tf! For people who want to know what it mean, this is the timeline start when Xiao Fan taking revenge of all people, meet his first friend, eavesdropping of Luqing shareholding or many things that Xiao Fan did unexpected... especially make luqing almost bancrupt.... but i guess this scene is going out in eps 11 cause it kinda surprise(flashback moments)

He(xiaofan) did that on purpose cause only him(luqing) that reliable or can help him in that family... cause he know that Luqing interest in men so he willing to do anything that make Luqing help him. He do dishes, making soup or even having s3x with him so he useful to luqing and he can ask for help to him when xiaofan family call and need something

They are in collage and when Xiaofan just enter the collage, they two already in Senior year. Thats why they use suit especially they are elitist of the country so the school is prestige and only high class people can enter at that time
