I really agree with you on this. I do not have bipolar myself, but I care a lot about how mental health is portrayed,…
For some parts i agree with you both and for other parts i do not. I am a person with a personality disorder caused by my c-PTSD, in general i also have moderate depression, but they can extend to severe depression in a specific periode of time. I am surrounded by familymembers with other severe mental disorders. Does that mean i know everything about that topic, hell no.
With what i agree is the portrayal of the diagnosis and espicially how Kelvin was diagnosed. He collapsed and had the cuts on is arm, so it is most probably bipolar disorder? I mean he was hit by a stone / brick, there was no head CT or anything, the hole stress in addition to the severe hit most probably caused the collaps. Does he have a mental disorder, definitly! Which one? I mean depression for sure. But honestly i don't even think he has a bipolar disorder, at least not the series version of Kelvin, and it takes more than one brief appointment with a doctor to diagnose this specific disorder. The god complex, which was mentioned by one of you, i only see that with ken, he is a narcissist, caused by his dad. Kelvin has more of a obsession, caused by his trauma and also anxiety to lose someone who is important for him, not only in an emotional way, also to achiev his goals and revenge. He had definitly up-phase / high-phase, in which he was really ... something, but that can happen to everyone, stress and those positions can cause that too. I also agree with your point, that not every bipolar person is like the stereotype extreme, which is portrayed in most tv and filmproductions. And also that only a tini tiny percentage of people with mental disorders are a danger to the society and to themselves.
So now the parts i am not agreeing with. This whole story is extreme and about extremes, so even if Kelvin has a bipolar disorder i think it is "okay" that his disorder is also extreme. Does his mental disorders caused a lot of his actions, espicially those towards Vier, yes, but also Kelvin didnt used them as excuse, and he knew exactly what he was doing, so it was also his decision like the cutting of viers face. And lets be clear the show is not how to deal a daily life with a bipolar disorder, the show is portraying high society families and buisnesses with all its dirt and betrayal and two men dealing and fighting in and against the system while falling in love.
That's a very good/interesting question. I'd love to see poll results of the audience broken down by gender and…
So hey there, i was looking into the journey of BLs and GLs and maybe i can answer a few questions, or you get so confused, so you have more 😂.
So first of all, BLs or also called yaoi, comes from japan and anime. it is a genre written by women for women, who are sexually intrested in man. Nowadays the series at least are more exclusively, but i get there later.
Why do women write only about men, but for women. Its about the image of men and the own saticfaction. Men in BLs are written completely different then the men in society. Its about the emotional relationship and accessibility and also caracterdevolpment. If you take a look at men most of them, especially straight men are an emotional desaster and women cant really relay on them (mentalload gap). Whats important to know spicy content works different on women then on men. For a lot of women (sexuality is irrelevant) the story and how the men are availabel in regards of emotion, feelings, comitment, thats more important.
Thats also a reason why BL series are mostly in the Tops of countries where man have more rights than women and the patriachy is more present then for example in middle and north europe. Also in countries which really strict laws against the LGBTQ+ community. Coz women there want to see vulnerbal and reliable men.
So GLs were created as a pendant for BLs and for straight men. Most men if they are intrested in spicy content, they prefere videos and not story - / characterdevelopment. So GLs went down really quickly coz there wasnt many interest in GLs. It started to change as sapphic people discovered, but it most writeres are still straight women, so story and the spicy dont really catch queer women, coz its more like a straight romance and you cange one character into a female one. But the queere / lesbian essence isnt there. Thats why most GLs and GL cp in BLs are so poorly and it feels not right. Coz what most people don't get womens relationships are way different then straight and gay relationships, i know that coz i am a lesbian.
So back to BLs, the novels are still poorly written, if its about gay representation / spice, especially the spice. The series back in the old days, where also like that. In the last 3 years I would say it changed more, not only coz people wanna see more and specific spice, but also or even maybe coz the people who are looking are changing. Nowadays more queer people watch those series and they wanna see more realistic queer representation and spice. The directors still have to work on that, for example if they have an intimacy coach on set, i mean thats usually also important for the actors. The best example is heated rivalry, not only the director was gay and could bring the realnes in it, but also the intimacy coach helped them a lot.
And to be honest, watching and / or support BLs is not helping the queer Community, coz the novels are still written with all the stereotypes and false representation. Yeah the series are trying to not show all stereotypes, but there are still to many and fans, mostly straight ones, are keeping them up. Best example is the wife and husband thing or the strict thing about top and bottoms.
Why do watch queer people and also queer women these series, coz we are desperate for queer stories, even if they are bad or not so realistic.
If you have questions you can ask them and i try to answer them.
how they not get hard? even if they are straight in real life or not, scenes like these and even if protective…
Coz it is work and the NC arent that sexy to produce as to watch. It can happen Boss from the Pairing BossNoel had a moment when it happend during filming.
Lmao, the question I’ve been asking from the beginning. The answer is, it’s because of the cast and the fixed…
I strongly have to disagree on that out of personal experience. I have 2 colleagues, both of them were f*kboys as finest. Each of them sleept with this particiular woman and out of sudden there were in love. One of them even moved in the very next week. Both are now married and have a child or children. And if you take a look on the women you would never think that they are together, but they are.
The thing is what a person is attracted or what they find intresting is sometimes unbelivable and others would be like, hmm really? And sometimes circumstances makes the difference.
If Pheem and Jira had met on the street, i would agree that pheem most likely wouldnt be that intrested in Jira, but they met in this bar, had the chance to have a proper conversation and that can change a lot.
oh my god!!! i am an artist and my mind exploded when he generated that image!!! WTF!!!!! thats the last thing…
He didnt stole. He bought the picture and now he is the owner and allowed to do everything with it, what he want. Koh doesn't need permission when he already owned the picture.
The real problem is he doesn't value jiras art and dont understand that, coz otherwise he would see the major differences between jiras art and the one which was created by AI.
