Just to preface, I don't necessarily love the series, but I do like it. I actually wish I had discovered it sooner so I could have been part of the initial hype😛 I ended up finishing the whole show in just two days because I was so immersed in the story. Please don't take my critique to heart....this is just my personal perspective, and I hope you can respect that.
I love both actors, and I really....REALLY....tried to love the series, especially since it was so popular and everyone was raving about it. I recognize that the plot and cinematography were amazing, but honestly, the chemistry between the main couple felt lackluster. While people argued that this was intentional due to the nature of their characters, the tension just didn’t do much for me. To be honest, the only reason I kept watching was because of Tle and Firstone. They are such incredible actors; I could feel the raw depth of their emotions in every scene.
While I adore Keng and Namping, I’m holding out for a future project that resonates with me more deeply. I hope their next work allows them to explore a dynamic with more natural friction and a pacing that lets their connection breathe. They have so much potential, and I’d love to see them in a story where the chemistry feels as high-quality as the production itself. Anyways.....Mantra is going platinum on my playlist.
