Real talk: Apparently, it was clear that the FL never liked the SML. It's true that she was attracted to him, but she didn't really like him. She admired him as someone who is good, handsome, and talented. She never asked for his help either. It was the SML who actually tried to make her like him. This can justify her confusion. However, I really wish the writers hadn't dragged the SML storyline and had instead given more screen time to other characters, such as the neighbors, Tae Hyung's friends, or Woo Joo. They could have made it more heartwarming for the audience. They should have given more time and beautiful scenes to Hyunjin and Tae Hyung so the audience could see how they heal and support each other without asking for anything in return. That would have made the climax of episode 9 more emotional. I think the writers wanted to avoid some clichés that are common in K-dramas (like making the SML a villain or giving the audience second male lead syndrome), and they did succeed in that. I must say there aren't many clichés so far, but in trying to avoid them, they made the story feel bland, especially the chemistry between the FL and ML. This drama had great potential since the birth rate is very low in South Korea, and finding the right partner to raise a child with is not easy. They could have shown the drama from that perspective. Unfortunately, they have turned the good SML as an annoying character and the drama into a cliché.
This is the first time I've watched Surfjava and omg their chemistry was top tier. I laughed , smiled, blushed through the whole 4 episodes. I must say their acting was so natural, it didn't feel like that they were acting. Also the writing and the story is rewatchable . 10/10.
I've watched so many dramas but never in my kdrama stan life a SML ragebaited me this much , I'm really fed up with the FL . She should already take a decision . I don't mind her being with the SML . But she's just dragging it and keeping both of them on the hook. I just like Woo joo's relationship with Tae hyung. SML is a green flag as he's also trying to get the girl he likes but mannn this whole episode he was just ragebating me. I even shouted , 'Go back to your boyfriend ' Iykyk . However, the main problem rn is the FL. She needs to choose.
exactly . almost half the drama is the love triangle so far ... and the FL always looks to have a great time with…
Writers are making it difficult for the FL. I like her character but I'm afraid I won't like her character if she chooses SML over our woo joo's Uncle 😭
The scene where Taehyung sees his surname and Woo Joo's surname, also when he says woo joo doesn't need to wait forever made me so emotional . The daycare scene was the most beautiful scene of episode 6. The writers better not waste this precious drama with same old love triangle story. I'm liking the slow burn between ML and FL but the SML is ruining it for them tbh. Those scenes are just not necessary imo. They should write more scenes with Woo Joo , his Auntie and Uncle.
I'm liking the pace of this drama and how the characters are growing on me. I hope the writers won't mess it up at the end . The story is beautiful and real . It really does show how hard it is to maintain a kid in the workaholic society of SK.
