maybe another reason I dropped it is because I’m having a hard time seeing Xu Kai as such a cruel character( first few episodes) in this one.I know he’s probably wearing a mask and there’s more to his character, but I guess I just wasn’t enjoying watching him like that. Maybe I’ll give it another try someday.

I understand why you might see it that way, especially if you’ve encountered similar comments before. But I’m sorry if that’s how my comment came across,it clearly wasn’t my intention.
I mentioned ATC simply because I was genuinely surprised by my own reaction. Before, whenever I didn’t like an actor, I would usually dislike all of their dramas regardless of how good they were. This was actually the first time I ended up loving the work of actors I previously wasn’t a fan of. At the same time, this is also the first time I haven’t enjoyed a historical drama starring an actor I actually like. That contrast genuinely surprised me, so I shared it.

I didn’t realize being a fan came with a contract requiring me to finish every drama he appears in. If I don’t enjoy one of his dramas, am I supposed to force myself to watch it just to prove my fandom?

I watched ALP and enjoyed it so much, maybe because Xu Kai was the ML.As for As Beautiful as You,i didnt watch it eventhough Xu Kai was the ML because im not into modern dramas.

I’m not sure why my personal opinion is being treated as an attempt to “pull the drama down”.I simply shared my experience,I was excited for Xu Kai’s drama, but unfortunately, it didn’t hold my attention, so I dropped it. That’s all! and fyi, if a stranger’s opinion can dictate what you watch, maybe the problem isn’t the opinion, it’s how easily you’re influenced.

My watchlist isn’t exactly a complete record of everything I’ve watched. 😆 And thanks,I don’t need luck with ATC. I’m already completely hooked.

I’m a big Xu Kai fan and have been waiting for his dramas, but sadly, I had to drop this one. It just couldn’t hold my attention. Then there’s ATC. I wasn’t even a fan of Tang Song Yun or Liu Xue Yi, but I gave it a try anyway
and ended up getting hooked! Now I’m a fan of both.
