I agree. I’ve watched plenty of slow-paced J-dramas, K-dramas, and other shows, and honestly, I enjoyed them. I like dramas that leave a lasting impression on me, where I still remember the characters even after the show has ended.

I completely agree with you. So many people were saying that it was slow-paced, and I was like, “Is there something wrong with me?” because I genuinely didn’t feel like it was slow at all. I only found it a little cliché at the beginning, but it got so much better as it went on.
I don’t know, maybe it’s because I watch j-dramas, K-dramas, and Western shows, including European and American ones. I’ve watched plenty of slow-paced shows, but I wouldn’t even put this one in that category.

Exactly. Not only that, I’ve noticed that people tend to like it more when the ML pursues the FL and openly expresses his feelings for her. But when the roles are reversed and the FL expresses her feelings for the ML and flirts with him, she gets criticized, even though there’s really no difference between the two.
I just want something different for a change. We get so many flawless MLs and FLs every year, so having two characters who are different from the usual ones isn’t going to change anything.

Someone like her, who has never really experienced genuine kindness, found those feelings again through the ML. She felt that, finally, someone didn’t see her as just a doll. Even if he were to use her to achieve his own goals, the FL wouldn’t really mind, because she knows that Yan Shang’s kindness toward her is genuine. She also understands Yan Shang’s desire for revenge on a deeply personal level.
