I'm thinking about watching this for Kim Bum. is it worth it?
kim bum's role here is pretty pointless and he will not be there for most of the 2ns half. so, no. not worth it if you only want to watch it for kim bum.

i really feel bad when people give a pass to extremely mediocre writing simply because the genre is romcom? are…
imo, if mechoori didn't want to work with letoile in the first place, they should have emphasised on the reason why. why does he not want to work with such a big brand and wants to avoid them to the point that he is not even willing to negotiate any conditions?

right now, it seems like that conflict existed only to make the leads meet.
and since the conflict is what starts of the plot, i don't think its great storytelling to simply gloss over it. it's like saying "this is the conflict. it exists. lets move on now because i need to proceed with the plot".

regarding the detail about dam ye jin and her father you mentioned, that is what i was talking about in my previous comment. he prevents her her from staying in touch with her mother once, when she was a teenager.

after that she met her mother at her workplace and did they ever talk there? if no, why? if yes, had they sorted things out before that morning cream thing happened? if yes, why is she still upset with her dad? looks like she is the person to hold a grudge. then why was she willing to talk it out with mechoori when she found out he was responsible for making the cream? and why did she start dating him even though he made the call to break up with her to protect her, which was also her dad's reasoning as well?

in no scenario does it make sense to me, to resent someone for trying to protect you while trying to appease someone who abandoned you.

i hope you understand what i am talking about. To me, the story throws in random elements and takes away random elements as per their convenience.

a clear narrative structure is the most basic thing and i don't think the drama is coherent.

no industry veteran ace at her job will trespass, nor will they tickle the ceo of a company they are trying to collaborate with.

the main plot starts off because matthew lee doesn't want to compromise quality over quantity, and refuses contract renewal which is why seo eric asks dam ye jin to help them bring gojeuneok bio on board and that is how she meets the ML. But then the ML is like "I will come on board if you and Letoile come agree to my conditions" and thats it? If Letoile was going to accept any condition because FL clearly didn't ask Eric if the conditions are okay, then couldn't the ML have just placed the conditions before? Why did they show it as something impossible?

dam ye jin longs for the love of a mother who never acknowledged her in public and kept trying to get her attention but dislikes her father, who has cared for her for so long, because he once tried to keep her away from her mother when she hurt her. its like she only wants a mother and no other kind of guardian.

and these are only a few instances i can think of currently.

it just throws in random things at random moments and that is how it keeps people engaged.

i apologise if i sound angry. it is not my intention.

People forcing the hate and low ratings on this drama are honestly so weird. Just because the story is predictable…
i really feel bad when people give a pass to extremely mediocre writing simply because the genre is romcom? are romcoms supposed to be brain rot with no standards? you might not realise it, but you are providing validation to people who think that only idiots watch romcoms.

I think you should just appreciate the drama for what it is.
i am not CdramaLover who made the original comment. I have not talked about any opinions. I am asking you why you think someone "should" appreciate a drama for what it is.
i don't think one should appreciate/ accept anything if they don't like it.

unrelated to this show specifically, but the more I watch shows while airing, the more I think they should be…
you are right. when episodes are released with a gap of 5 days, the suspense dies down and it doesn't feel as thrilling.

i have never seen someone use SO MANY FLASHBACKS. I think each scene was played atleast twice in the drama. The school wedding was played so many times lol. They could have just given a real wedding at this point.

i was so close to calling this one my favourite from the univerkada series, but why is the script stuck in a loop like a broken tape. 19 episodes with a tight pacing would have been just fine. but they decided to give us multiple different instances of 'love you can't be with you'.
the script writer is me trying to increase the word count in an essay.
it seems like the actors got tired too, because what even happened to wilbert ross's acting in ep 21? what was that makeout scene? seemed like an raunchy ad of some stupid game. and why did we need to see them go to school and run around? what did it even add to the story?
why ruin such a good story like this? the songs were good, the story was good, the acting was also better.. why would you ruin it like this? WHYYYYYYY

if you are talking about childish anger shown by Via, it is because Larkin keeps teasing her. it's a very normal…
haha, i get you. my excitement has also simmered down because it did get repetitive in the middle, but wilbert ross has such a cute puppy in love face, i can't help but tune in every week.

Can someone explain to me why she's the one that is "pissed" now? They act like little children now that…
if you are talking about childish anger shown by Via, it is because Larkin keeps teasing her. it's a very normal reaction considering that she is interested in him but doesn't want to show. also, i know they are adults, but they are probably in their mid 20s and this is actually common 20 year old behaviour.

I agree that it did become repetitive in the middle but acting wise, this is much better than Chasing in the willd and Avenues of the diamond.

I am not in either of the field but I saw a documentary on brain research. Actually there is a company in Europe…
100% agree. lol. i had the exact same thoughts when I was watching the drama. the country has progressed a lot in this sector, no doubts about that. but so much PV panels talk is unnecessary, considering that anybody in the sector would read a paper instead of tuning into a cdrama.
i let out a laugh when the ML goes to that desert looking place and a worker tells him how thankful he is for the plant because it is now lighting up a village that didn't have electricity. it was like watching a CSR ad made by a conglomerate lol.
all of this country marketing seemed very targeted to the international audience.

Have you ever watched school 2015 bc 99% of viewers get second lead syndrome on that kdrama so I was wondering…
yess. i have watched school 2015 but i was too invested in the bullying story to care much about the love triangle

Through the 150+ kdramas I have watched, I have never felt the second lead syndrome but I am scared I will feel it here. The on screen chemistry of Tripp and Alys is so much better. I literally want 90% screen time to be tripp and alys and 10% to be aya.

Does anyone think this drama could be banned in some Asia countries because of his name? 😢
They can ban it in the muslim majority countries i guess? Because their sentiments are obviously hurt. The rest of the world can enjoy the drama if they are interested of course.

Just because she went in past doesn't mean she will magically become a completely different person.(Stronger).…
So dying, magically time travelling to go into the past and getting a 2nd chance at life is all realistic but becoming a stronger character because of an incident as traumatising as death is not?
I think witnessing her own death is a big enough reason for her to not remain the same.
Misa's character is more conservative than realistic. Till episode 8 she was a strong and determined character but in the last 2 episodes she is written to be someone who is wilfully ignorant and over righteous, like the kind of woman a conservative society would label as "ideal."

The love story angle here was better than the korean version but the revenge plot was weak in this one. Even after dying once the FL still felt like an idiot to me. She also would have been long dead (again) if the ML hadn't saved her ass.
Instead of showing the FL as a strong character who is now going to take her fate in her own hands and rewrite her story, they made the FL a "nice" character and made the drama into a good things are going to happen to good people anyway story.
