THANK U CASTING DIRECTOR FOR BRINGING ZIYI AND YUNRUI TOGETHER COZ WHAT AN INSANE CHEMISTRY?
Imagine a drama that meets all your expectations, that’s what blossom is
I am gonna start the review by saying how perfectly ML and FL have been written. I have seen dramas where writers attempt to create ''strong'' characters but end up making them even more annoying. In Blossom however, Dou Zhao and Song Mo really represent how it is to be an actual strong character. They really know how to behave in specific circumstances, work together hand in hand since the beginning and become even more powerful after they become a couple. No annoying behavior in sight and most importantly, they know how to express their love for each other and don't create unnecessary drama between each other despite having a hard life. Especially, Dou Zhao's love for Song Mo blew me away. For other characters, I have to tell that I skipped almost no scene, all characters have good stage presence and it's really fun to watch them all. Even if those who are not interested in watching all characters will end up watching them cause everything and every character are connected to each other and by skipping even one scene you can lose the grip of the script and that's why I really loved the plot, there is no messy extra drama, and everyone's actions are connected to the main plot. Also, every character was portrayed really well acting wise, especially feel like lead characters were really tailored for Ziyi and Yunrui.
I love how the ending was a complete one rather than an open ending.I don't want to give further info to avoid spoilers so I am gonna say I love how every character got the ending they deserved.
Before starting the drama, I saw everyone praising cinematography and after watching it, I couldn't agree more. Director really did a good job with cinematography, visuals, scene formations and all.
In addition to writing a good and emotional love story, couple has also a perfect chemistry that you can even see it from the very first time they met. I really fell for both Song Mo and Dou Zhao's beauty (wish we could see more of white haired Song Mo coz him in episode 1 is mind blowing)
Compared to other aspects of the drama, OSTs can be considered a bit weaker considering how powerful the plot and characters are but still overall they were decent as well so I am giving it a 10.
It is not only the best drama of 2024 for me, but it also entered my top 3 favorite cdramas of all time. I am glad I started watching it after seeing all the praises it got which all are well deserved. Even though, I came to know about Rui and Ziyi with this drama for the first time, I am glad they start getting the recognition they deserve. Hope they will work together again in the future.
Rewatch value is definitely 10000/10. I really have a lot of good things to say about this drama but I am cutting it short and recommending to everyone to go watch it now
