The first few episodes got me hooked, but it eventually fizzled out. Finishing it felt like a chore. 😭✌🏻 I didn’t mind the ending, but the story could’ve been great if the details weren’t so poorly written.

The actors are both good-looking and have strong potential for stardom, especially the male actor. They also have chemistry. She has a quiet elegance, while his visuals are refreshing.

However, the male lead still needs improvement in his acting, especially in heavily dramatic scenes. For instance, when she was unconscious and he carried her to the hospital, I didn’t feel his panic — there wasn’t a well-portrayed, genuine sign of concern.
Sigh. Maybe the director is partly to blame too? 🤣🤭 The editing and cinematography also need work.

It may not have met my expectations, but I definitely enjoyed the show despite its downsides.
Thank you! Wishing the whole team more growth in the future. 🙏🏻🤍

No heavy plot—good for quick, immediate mood uplift.

Cliche, yes. Nothing extraordinary, but I had fun watching it! 💖 It's a light-hearted drama. I like the chemistry between the main leads. 💖 Both are good-looking and their acting skills are pretty convincing. 💖 I feel like they both have a potential for stardom. I guess they already are heading towards that direction. 💖Hopefully!

I just did not expect it would end way too soon. 🤣🥹🤣🥹 I was already preparing myself once it reaches the peak of emotional turbulence and then.. 🤣🤭🤣🤭 ..Go check it yourself. It's only a short drama. It even has fewer episodes than the one stated here. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

**** Also, I am still trying to figure out the ending whether that's the reason for the male lead's sudden flirty confidence during the early stage of their relationship (which caught me off guard at times) because he's supposed to be clueless and timid. The sudden shift was abrupt for it to be realistic, or perhaps the story was just rushed. 🤣🧐🤣🧐

The FL character is flawed and realistic for her upbringing and the time period in which she was born. I may not always agree with her but her character is relatable and realistic. The actress's acting is natural too! I like her since I first saw her in her drama "Love behind the Melody". 🩷🥰🩷🥰🩷

As someone who is not easily swayed with words and charm and hold strongly to conservative values, I totally understand some of her decisions especially in her pre-engagement/marriage era. 🤭🤣🤭🤣

I love how heroic and selfless the ML’s love for the FL is—it’s convincingly portrayed on screen, but that kind of love is definitely rare, almost impossible to find in real life. 😭🤣🥹🤣😭

This is one of the best Cdramas I have watched this year. I'm not even done watching yet and I am already rewatching some episodes—I'm still three episodes away from finishing it—but my mind, heart, and eyes are already satisfied. 🤣🤭🥰🤭🤣Thank you! 🙏🏻🤍🙏🏻🤍

Be emotionally equipped.

I love the chemistry—the acting is on point, the portrayal is brilliant, the costumes are stunning, the cinematography is excellent, and the OSTs are phenomenal. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Everything is perfect… except for their love story. It’s terrible!!!! It may not be healthy, but it does make sense. It’s believable enough. Thank goodness I did my research before watching! I had to mentally and emotionally prepare myself for nearly two years—and even then, it still took me quite a long while to move on after finishing it during the pandemic! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ..can never be emotionally equipped for this. 🤭🤦🏻‍♀️🤭🤦🏻‍♀️

I pray I never find this kind of love story in real life. 😭🙏🏻😭🙏🏻

from ↘️to↗️ True to its title.

It has its own highs and lows. There were times I felt like giving up watching, but as always, I stayed—and eventually, it started to become more interesting to my taste when the truth about the main leads was finally revealed on both sides. I even had to restrain myself from enjoying their chemistry. 🤦🏻‍♀️😭🤦🏻‍♀️😭 It just made me uncomfortable.

The first few episodes were so-so until it reached a certain point. I like that they always get justice. However, it's kind of unbelievable at times when the male lead is always three steps ahead in every situation. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (Not just him, but the female lead as well.) He did make a few mistakes, which helped made him look a little more human. Maybe this was their way of compensating for making them both suffer early in the drama? 🤣🤭🤣🤭

I don't know if it's just me, but I believe the female lead's hairstyle doesn't help accentuate her beauty. There's an overemphasis on her upper head—since it's already wide and her chin is narrow, it makes her head look big and bulky. If I'm not mistaken, she seems to have an inverted triangle face shape due to her wide forehead and narrow chin. She's prettier when her hair is down. However, I'm not well-versed in the hairstyles of people from their era, so... 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Her character is sometimes too stubborn for her own safety. Sigh.

When it comes to the male lead, he seemed smitten early in the drama, but later he came across as too self-assured—like he knew the female lead wouldn’t turn him down. Even if you're incredibly smart, doubts will still linger when feelings are deep and true. He's a good actor and quite suited for serious, masculine roles, but I didn’t see love in his eyes in the latter episodes. Unlike the female lead, whose affections toward him visibly progressed through her facial expressions, especially after the dynamics shifted. I guess he acts well when feelings are being suppressed rather than being expressed.

I've heard a lot of comments about the female lead's voice, and yes—at first, I was kind of surprised that that's how she truly sounds. It's cute, and I appreciate that it's not performative. The male lead's voice is soothing to the ears when he speaks calmly, but it becomes quite authoritative when he's angry. Versatile, indeed.

The supporting characters are impressive too, especially the elders in the Lou Family—their acting really stands out. I love the second wife of the male lead's father the most; grandma comes second. As for the male villain in their love story, he’s handsome, but he has such a strong presence that I get genuinely scared and anxious whenever he appears on screen! 😭🤦🏻‍♀️😭🤦🏻‍♀️

It may not be truly well-written, with some unbelievable and irresponsible characters—excluding the villains, of course—and unrealistic plot twists, but overall, I enjoyed it. I just wish there were more wholesome, fluffy moments between the main leads right after the truth was revealed to everyone.

The way the lead characters were written is good, but the villains — especially the grandma — didn’t make much sense to me. There was nothing particularly impressive about the story overall.

I was also distracted by the female lead’s hair. She’s really pretty, and letting her hair look that unnatural didn’t do her justice. 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

The plot could be exhausting at times, but what made me stay until the final episode was the chemistry between the leads and their impressive acting skills.

Plus, the OST!!!!!!!!!!! Hands down. 👏🎶
