I thought the climax would be they (Tetsuya & his mom) eventually met Aya chan who drawn the Shiawase E my first Suzuki Sawa movie was she play as Takeo's mom in Ore Monogatari....her laugh back then also shown here
if the premise exist IRL, they would do it secretly no need for the lab kissing scene and any public disclosures when they can do it as they wish at home or other private places
approved by Iku, Yori might bring Tomoka home only to show to his mom that he's just like common teens later on after they graduate high school they might move to other town attending university/and work while live together as a couple till the end
I watch Japanese movies for the culture and language learning, I drop this kind of mix couple stories. I even don't really like when it's all Japanese but the setting is abroad.
this is probably the 1st Japanese movie that I've watched about marriage relationship drama that excluded furin or uwaki element and I could enjoy till the last scene, heartwarming with laugh and tears.
the Law in Japan didn't recognize the obligation of a father to pay child support after divorce let alone when the child born out of wedlock which is a rare case. (I think 1 of 4 women gave birth while a single as told by the doctor in this movie only to support the storyline/it's far from reality)
the Koharu meet Tomoko part, is only to support the idea of You can Live the way You Like (in this case, to have a baby as a single woman) and have a meaningful life.
Ayano is LUCKY to have a best roommate, thoughtful obäsan and otösan who supporting her decision otherwise it's a disaster.
the Thumbnail suggests it's a yuri story, when Ayano said that she's gonna give birth to the child, Koharu says that she will be the "father" and slowly their relationship change.. 😃
Irene is in the Title. sometimes she act like mentally disturbed and like an ordinary girl in other times. I found similar disorder from most Manga adapted films on the chatacters or storylines.
Extramarital Sexual Relationship is the Key Point in most Japanese films/dramas. As if they couldn't produce a good one without it. In this drama they exploited it too much. Tama tama, I watched it backward, from Ep 6th, 5th, I skip the 4th then I continue to the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd I didn't feel any lost story, they're pretty similar. I have watched some movies of Kaho Indo, Makita Aju's, Eguchi Noriko's and Harada Mieko's also Nao's
their acting capability seems like being supressed in this drama mottainai
this is one amongst a few Japanese films that showing love relationship drama without CHEATING and making love scene, yet it convey strong love feeling. metcha sugoi !
most Japanese films full of flaws lack of logic and reason, appeared as Manga-like stories.
credit for the mental illness part, that make this film's storyline acceptably realistic...supported by top act performers.
kira kira megane is a usefull tool to get positive state of self, it helps me a lot. "every cloud has a silver lining" "..surely, with hardship comes ease"

I can still enjoy the movie even I have watched it 4 times.
My 1st movie of Sekimizu Nagisa was Machidakun no Sekai, then TCM JP: Princess....Who Am I (drama)
and Takasugi Mahiro was Tori Girl.

how much did this drama contribute on his death?
