I have watched tens of Japanese movies, I'd prefer a movie with lots of serifu and this one is not, but it has distinctive soundtracks, before writing this comment I was listening to Gymnopédie N1 (slow and painful) clip and suddenly it reminds me to this movie. And also the main soundtrack sometimes just comes up to my memory while in my daily routines, even though I watched the movie months before it. on top of that, I can watch this movie without captions and understand most of the conversations.
I paused at 18th minute, reading the jimaku tsukareta I used to love watching Hollywood films, with jimaku as I learn English back then now I'm relearning Japanese I only watch Japanese films from 3 months ago
this movie has a lovely story I guess, I'll continue when I get enough energy
a few years ago a teacher from a school for special kids gave me a sign language jisho which became one of my regrets I didn't chanto use it and this movie reminds me 😥
we can see a large gap transformation of how films' industry presenting the same story from theatrical play like (Manji 1964) to a romantic porn play like (Manji 2023)
not really a Romance or Drama work, more to pinku poruno or sofuto adaruto played by mainstream films performers focused on the 2 bisexFLs NOT lesbians
IRL a 24yo pregnant woman to an unknown father might only happen on careless courtesan who really can do nothing but to sell her body for daily meals and lifestyle.
water flowing to the sea 10 years she's being mad for what her mother has done (she hurt so much because お母さんが 大好きだからって) yet she's going to do similar thing herself (extramarital female-male sexual relationship) - age gap, older woman/younger man tags what Shigemichi did at last and how Kaede's smiling face are approving Chisa-Nao's Romance (talk about so called 恋愛しない二人 😜)
the story flows smoothly and the plot was expected yet the performance of the haiyuu and the cinematography are excellent the song from the 1st Hirose Suzu's work I've watched still clinging in my head ~ H He Li Be B C N O F Ne ~ of 一度死んでみた 😃
learning Japanese, my new words/phrase from this movie is "~ しときんしゃい and ダブル不倫
special story which can only exist in Japan (base on assumption)
Japan has the history of Seppuku/Harakiri (practiced by Samurai in the traditional Japanese society) to end own's life in honor (supposedly)
Japan also well known with Aokigahara Forest a hotspot for suicide at the base of Mount Fuji
Harada Satoshi tried "to help" those who want to go to the next life but can't do it by themself and get money by "helping" them but every crime has it's own flaws no matter how weel planned it was
I once was in the same office with a mastermind of an insurance manipulation (a marketing officer) he got about 300万円 by making a fake accident a lumberjack (insurance customer) "accidentally" cut his thumb at work and applied the claim to an insurance company, after the investigation, our company paid him
it was at the second try they failed, the insurance company did a thorough investigation, it was found out the marketing officer also made a fake vehicle lost claim and he was also able to convince a corporate customer for paying by cash, he didn't deposit to our company
Greedy Harada Satoshi also want to get more but exposed
Fact Japan is outside of top 10 countries with suicide rate
Japanese films and dramas exposures of suicide made it seems against the fact.
Japan has strong traditional family value which most western countries getting loose or even lost. this kind of movie is an efective tool to push young Japanese to follow the broken western society.
I can't even watch half of this movie, adapted from an autobiography but too much irritating scenes, I jumped to the last minutes, right at the best scene when the male praying to the "praying to god panty" and got farted on the face saikou 😄
I got the climax at 8th episode the 9th and 10th was too much to stomach
a bit different plot, Keisuke and Mai eventually share the house with Marika and Chika which was too large for only 2 of them, they live together as a new family of 4
Maida Nono performance was so great she even surpassed Touma Ami who had more act experience
I knew Japanese screenwriters can also make heart moving stories like this (this one amongst a few of its), while most Japanese films depend on furin/uwaki/freesex lifestyle premise (against the Japanese traditional value) to build the storyline
I assumed that many Japanese film writers intentionally make the characters say/do things that normal people mostly wouldn't say/do, so they can us it as fillings to the story
when Naoko cries outloud at her 20th birthday, Toru do nothing and wait her to come close to him for a hug
when the they make love, who would ask "is this your first time?" like that? and "why didn't you have sex with Kizuki"?
CRAZY questions
I expected Naoko will end herself when she enter the rehab facility but the moment she said that being around Toru is torturing her that's the gate
my question at that time was "why Toru sacrificed himself for Naoko that much?"
well, at least not like most Japanese films with open ending this one gave a happy ending for Toru
the way Riko approaches Haru is misplaced, she can do it that way if Haru was attracted to girls also. Haru was straight till the end, but her appearance did not normal...normal girl would give a touch at least to her face, here we can see clearly the pores on Haru's
Aoi Yu and Ikematsu Sosuke have been playing in the same scenes since they were kids it's wonderful to see they keep share their performances Yu's character here also named Yu 😃
the plot is ordinary.. futsū it would be interesting if Kana lives with 2 moms at home (with future sisters and brothers, better than being abandoned and then looking for her mother who pursue a happy life with her girlfriend. fixing the declining birth rate in Japan
the storyline is a mess, since they eventually live together as a fūfū already shown from the beginning a lot of scenes would felt very heavy but it became like the wind, you can feel it dakedo chotto kieta
not like Iku and Yori in My Sister My Love, here Akira and Keiichi keep their virginity till their adulthood Akira even surprised when Keiichi asked her to spend her last night at home in the same room
not like most Japanese dramas where they propagate FREE lifestyle with the special "buki"; furin or uwaki....as if they can't make a good story without it, this drama still try to show the Japanese traditional value about sexual relationship despite of Akira's feeling on her own brother
(I watched only the 1st 3 episodes, wrote this)
1st tears of Akira ended by the 1st kiss by Keiichi at the last minutes of the 4th episode
BIG turning point: Keiichi Mae ni Susumu at 5th ep but it still Akira is the Driving Force Keiichi could'n move an inch, like a car without engine/power
Mae ni Susumu at least once in a life time sooner or later it's a necessity
when Tamaki call, it's seems like Akira's last time to hear her best friend's voice before Tamaki's Jisatsu
I didn't remember well is it the second or the third time, Akira called Keiichi ~ hontö ni Hetare ~ when Akira asked to have a baby
Keiichi still in awkwardness at the hanabi yet he told Gottsun that he and Akira Kakeochi shita (inconsistency)
it's seems the writer tried to make it as complicated as possible by adding the Gottsun plot, I don't think it's necessary since the main premise is already a heavyweight one without the spoiler

do you really need permission to hold your husband's hand?
there's a sweet LITTLE LIE behind it
