bc the cliffhanger is if they get back together. we as the audience know that they will because the premise of the show demands it, but we don't know WHEN. for some reason, they like to ruin the cliffhanger. however, i think this is almost like a way for them to ask the viewer to let the quality of the work speak for itself. you already know what will happen but you don't know how, and I think that's really cool too

on episode 3 and struggling to get through this rn... It's not just a slowburn, everything is taking too long with this show. Too many shots to illustrate a single concept. Show don't tell but if you were trying to communicate to a fucking 3 year old.

That's actually so fair... I think the way they're substituting money for any real chemistry or substance in their relationship is what kills it for me. Like, I guess North is kinda into him? I really cannot tell. Even North himself says that it would be obvious if he liked someone, but the whole thing with Johan is really confusing and not obvious at all. It's not an issue with the actor's chemistry either because they clearly know how to have chemistry 0_0 , so it gets even crazier. It just feels bad... I would love it if it was like "they're in love with each other AND he's rich and solves all his problems", but tbh I don't see it (despite what all the character's are saying). Writing this all out, I'm beginning to wonder if that's intentional.

Honestly, I hope that by the end of Johan and North's relationship, they either cut the money part of it entirely or just go their separate ways. Right now we live in a time where the economy is shit and the idea of relying on a handsome sugar daddy can look really enticing, but the whole reason most of us DON'T do that is because how fucked up, dangerous, and exhausting that is. Please. PLEASE. We do not need to be romanticizing this. It falls into that fantasy thing of the sex worker falling in love with the client. It's really not good y'all, we need to do better.

I'm starting to really get into Hill and Ter's relationship! It's growing on me now :) hate that it took like 10-11 episodes for that to happen, but I guess it's better late than never 👀 There's a whole lot of nothing... I think they seem like really interesting characters but they've just been done so dirty. Which is insane. There's so many talented people on this project and clearly so much to work with, it's disappointing.
