I’d say he can leave, it was not his baby and also Makio and Eiji kept trying for the baby without Makki, so I think him leaving is not really a big deal. He wanted to back off, they didn’t care.
Makio just inserted herself in their relationship because she was secretly jealous of Makki’s and Eiji’s relationship.
In the last ep. it looks like Eiji is really regretting his decision and misses Makki so much.
If only Makio never came up with this stupid idea omg.
This was such amazing show tho, full of emotions, raw dialogues and beautiful cinematography. It’s a gem.
