This script is incredibly confusing, written in a convoluted manner that further complicates the audience’s understanding.
From the very beginning, the story revolves around Han Ji-young. In my unbiased opinion, he is the main lead. The narrative starts with him, focusing more on his relationship with his grandmother throughout the series and concludes with a smile on his face, supporting the second lead.
The reason I consider it a peculiar script is that it’s the only drama where the main female lead (Suzy) suddenly becomes the second female lead and follows the second male lead, Nam Do-san. Initially, she was portrayed as a strong-willed, who left her job to start her own company. However, her decision-making skills deteriorated significantly, despite the suggestions of the main lead.
Unnecessarily, they introduced a love triangle, involving the main male lead and dragging him into it. This unnecessary complication further confused the audience, making it difficult to determine who the main lead and second lead were.
