Okay so There is guy A (our mc), guy B (the guy who went to get mc from the station) and guy C (the one with a ring).

Guy A liked guy C but could not be with him as he had a boyfriend the one who dies (the funeral everyone is at). Guy B is homophobic as he laughs and giggles about Guy C who is gay and so is Guy A. Guy A haves enough of the homophobics friends and straight up punches the one of them, starting an altercation (at the bar after the funeral). Guy A goes back to the funeral and goes and hugs Guy C.
