I think the ML loved the FL more than she loved him. And i think she loved his ex bf more(since it was a 7 year long relationship)compared to the ML. Since she prepared to propose to ex bf on her birthday while incase of ML she just waited for him to propose to her not taking any initiative from her side. Whereas the ML always kept the FL as his priority by cooking for her. by sacrificing his job, by understanding her interactions with his exbf while she gets jealous in one business meeting he attended with his colleague and beacause of that she went on a blind date while being committed with the ML, and clearing every misunderstanding of her by taking initiative because she was ready to leave him without even trying to understand him, by proposing her 3-4 times in whole drama. Even after 5yrs she still priorities her job over him. The only thing she has done for him is taking care of her mother while he was busy earning money for her treatment.
