Title Love Next Door Spoiler
I cried when Yeondu said "uncle" to Danho. The call "dad" is already attached to Danho, I'm not ready to hear another call.

But the fact that Yeondu lost both of her parents is more upsetting to me than the fact that she's not Danho's biological daughter. A child as beautiful and cute as she has to face a bitter fate. Her uncle too, he felt the sudden loss of 4 family members.

I think there is MORE to the story of her death. From the tvN preview: When she (U assume "she" is Mo Eum) encounters…
I'm the opposite of you. From the first episode, only the second lead caught my attention. I’m watching Love Next Door just for them. I love Moeum and Danho’s chemistry when they’re with Yeondu.

But there are so rarely deep-talk moments between them, which frustrates me. Their limited screen time barely makes them feel like a proper second lead.

I’m really looking forward to that episode too. But honestly, I still don’t like how Moeum rushed into confessing her feelings and saying she wants to be Yeondu’s mom. She could’ve approached it more carefully, especially since the topic of Yeondu’s mother’s death is really sensitive for Danho. Just looking at his eyes and body language, it’s clear that he hasn’t fully come to terms with what happened two years ago. I hope Moeum can be more understanding of his feelings.

What pained me was that he was talking about his late wife when Moeum suddenly kissed him. She didn't even ask…
Yes! Exactly. Moeum's character might not be perfect, and that’s okay. I just want her to realize and adjust her actions to be more considerate of Danho’s feelings. I know people like Moeum just want to do their best, but the way she’s approaching it doesn’t seem right.

I clearly remember how their interactions changed when Danho found out Moeum liked him. Danho wasn’t ready, so he started pulling away.

Hmm. It would’ve been more realistic if Danho had opened up about his dark past, and then Moeum dug deeper into it—asking how he felt at the time, what he did to cope with the loss, and how he managed to raise Yeondu. But instead, the scriptwriter cut that scene short with an ‘accidental kiss.’ Seriously, imagine in the middle of sharing a difficult story from your past and being kissed. Now, Moeum suddenly says she wants to be Yeondu’s mother without even considering Danho’s feelings. Even though Danho shows care and concern for Moeum, it doesn’t mean he’s ready to fall in love again. He’s probably still haunted by the loss of someone so important to him and Yeondu.

I like Moeum’s character, but the love line with Danho feels rushed. She genuinely takes care of them and surely can’t bear to see Yeondu grow up without a mother figure. Moeum likely understands the exhaustion of being a single parent, having seen her own mother’s struggles. But she’s still looking at things from her own perspective. She hasn’t fully seen Danho’s side yet. Danho’s hesitation is understandable, and so Moeum’s disappointment. If Moeum gives up on understanding Danho, then maybe they aren’t meant to be together. And if Danho doesn’t confront his trauma, he might regret it later. There are still four episodes left to see how their characters develop.

If their love line ends in tragedy, maybe it’ll remind us that the love stories of single parents aren’t that simple. There’s so much to worry about, so much to consider. I hope they find happiness, even if it’s not how I expected.

I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be in love for so long. But watching Moeum and Danho is bringing back memories of having a crush. Oh my gosh, I can’t stop smiling at their scenes! Is this a sign I should fall in love again? LOL

After watching 1-10 episodes of Love Next Door.

I deeply admire Moeum’s character. She never pressures her friends to open up; instead, she’s always there when they need someone to listen. She creates a comforting, safe space for them.

As we grow older, we often lose the energy or desire to talk about our struggles. We often choose to internalize our issues, allowing them to run their course, while concealing them from family and friends. There are so many considerations before confiding in someone: 'Am I burdening those closest to me? Will I constantly make them worry? What if they abandon me? What if they can't accept my flaws? What if they decide to end our friendship? What if they become angry with me? Do I deserve to be by their side? What if they think I’m a bad person?'

I also appreciate how Moeum and Danho are refreshingly direct when discussing their personal issues. They create a genuinely safe environment where they can fully express themselves. They accept that it’s perfectly okay to cry, and to have fears and disappointments about themselves.

Moeum is the type of character who's easy-going and a great listener. The way she starts getting close to Danho & Yeondu is so sweet! Their playful moments are cute.

When Danho takes the initiative to write an article about paramedics and chooses Moeum’s workplace for his research, it doesn’t come across as over-the-top. He shows genuine curiosity and interest in learning the ins and outs of being a paramedic. Danho is such a green flag! He always repays people's kindness with lots of words of affirmation and acts of service. Yeondu is also adorable and charming. She cares deeply about her dad’s work and always strives to be independent. Their story is just heartwarming. Their chemistry is fantastic!

I sincerely hope they can withstand whatever obstacles come their way as they commit to staying together forever.

Fortunately there is a cute couple in the drama because watching the main couple totally depressed me. Many of…
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I'm so sorry to hear about what you and your friends are going through. It must be incredibly tough to deal with those worries. I completely understand how you turn to Kdramas for comfort and escape, and it's unfortunate that many have touched on such heavy topics lately. I hope you can find moments of joy and relaxation through other shows or activities. Please take care, and I’m sending you lots of strength and positive thoughts!

Finished watching Love Next Door Episodes 1-9, but I only focused on the second lead’s story. Moeum and her mom are total green flags! In the first episodes, the lead moms were all competing to show off their children's achievements, while Moeum's mom was just chill and didn’t join in the bragging.

Moeum is the type of character who's easy-going, a bit tomboyish, and a great listener. The way she starts getting close to Danho & Yeondu is so sweet! Their playful moments aren't cringey, they’re actually cute. When they meet at work, they always try to stay professional, and there haven’t been any inappropriate scenes.

It feels like they’re falling in love in the right place. When Danho takes the initiative to write an article about paramedics and chooses Moeum’s workplace for his research, it doesn’t feel over the top. He shows genuine curiosity and interest in learning about the ins and outs of being a paramedic.

Oh, and Danho has such a high level of care! He always repays people's kindness, with lots of words of affirmation and acts of service! Yeondu is sweet, cute, and adorable too. She cares about her dad's work and always strives to be independent. Their story is just too heartwarming, huhuhu.

Their chemistry is so, so, so praiseworthy! I hope they get more screen time. I’m still curious about Moeum and Danho’s backgrounds. 🌷🎀🍀
