Gosh one of the best cdramas in this era of the 2020s! I couldn't stop watching. I just want to say that the ML and FL are just perfect! They are both such green forests. I just loved their friendship and I loved the fact that the story was a slow burner and they really only started to show the hints of romance around episode 16. They really interpreted the friendship factor so well. For me Zhai Xiao Wen did such a good job with his acting. The pure emotions he shows on his face when he starts seeing her as a potential partner was just chefs kiss. I loved how they showed his stages of maturity throughout the series though I must admit I did miss his goofy character by the latter episodes. Yang Xi Zi was alsoo sooo good. By the 29th episode I was just so fond of her. I really hope people realise how amazing a character Huan Er is because she's so precious. She never looses her temper and just stays so calm.
The only problem for me was Qiqi. Just to be clear I am not hating. This is just what I felt. I do realise that in reality people tend to be more like her but I just couldn't get around her from the start. I do realise it's also got to do with her upbringing but really Huan Er and Song Cong didn't deserve the heartbreak they got from her because they literally didn't do anything wrong. I felt so bad for them really. I skipped most of her parts which was a pity because Song Cong was a well interpreted character but tbh the two lacked chemi for me. The build up for the two of them was lacking. I feel like Song Cong's character was definitely changing towards the latter episodes and I just badly want to know what happened with Du Man. I loved Du Man's character too but then that one part just confused because because they never really followed up on it.
On the contrary I also wish they had given more light onto Li Tian . He was just so hilarious. I loved seeing him on screen. His chemi with Xi Chi was also really good. The foursome was the best part of the series, Xi Chi, Huan Er, Song Cong and Li Tian.
The ending was so good. I loved how they put up the still images of their houses.. and it made me realise 'oh the good old days have changed to another form of life'.
I would definitely put this drama high up there as one of the best dramas this era.
I'm confused.. episode one... why is she cleaning? Bro!? They just left the room, doesn't mean you need to clean…
I agree that certain parts are a bit stupid and annoying on her part but then that's what makes the story and that's why I'm watching it. Plus it's following the book so I don't think it's necessary to just bash out at her character. Just accept it and watch or drop it
