Apparently, Lee Sang Yi is supposed to be a cameo in this drama and not one of the main, hehe 🤣
For real! The only special appearance that is in the promotions and poster lol According to his talk on Pinggyego he was casted just casted for cameo/special appearance but the writers/directors had so much fun with his character during filming that he ended up in almost all of the episodes.

Seokho is so annoying. All the superiors are terrible
I know! Shows that they are great actors. I love Lee Sang Yi and Yoon Kyung Ho in real life but their characters so far have been so irritating. Lol

I was gonna let it go, but the other thing that stood out for me from the last couple episodes, and was greatly shown in this episode was Prince Ian. He had multiple dialogue that is along the lines of "Do you really think I can't protect you/us", he said this both to the Queen and HuiJu, but in the end, it was HuiJu and the Queen that really protected him LoL. Until the end of the drama, I didn't really feel that he was powerful as a regent. I liked his character in the first half, but man the second half didn't really unleashed his full potential, he was like a lost puppy sometimes. (I'm talking about the character, not the actor. I like BWS just fine, he just followed the lackluster second half script.)

Overall, I still enjoyed this drama though, this made me watch K-Dramas again after shifting to C-Dramas. The first half was chef's kiss. I just wish the writers drank their coffees when they were writing the second half. That the drama has an untapped potential is what disappoints me. They had a great cast but their skills weren't fully utilized. They glossed over a lot of things.

oh yeah, sorry, I misread that. I agree with you, they could have used a couple more episodes for us to believe the Queen is turning a new leaf or was never that bad in the first place.

This drama honestly feels like the audience is hyping the plot lol. The plot theories of the drama's fans, and how they think the characters will proceed in the next scenes are so much more interesting than what they are showing us every episode.

This arc doesn't make sense - Queen mother 's sudden change of heart. She let her husband 's last wish burn in…
Honestly, I felt like this was never clarified to begin with, they had some scenes in the previous episodes that could mean that it was never the queen who started the fire in the first place. She burnt the decree but she did not burn that whole place down. There's just so much plots that's not being explored.

I just finished writing a similar comment. The editing was getting on my nerves too! Like, I pressed a 10 second…
@MLJH hoping for this as well. They had a great start, I wish the finale would not ruin that.

This drama is making me lose my mind! Both leads are crazy and I'm all for it! Can't wait for the next episode.

I feel they should not have touched what they couldn't finish for example giving us no good reason why the crown…
@crescenttimes, I agree. That was not even in one of their many foreshadowings. They will waste the last episode on this abolishment of the crown that we're not even given a reason to root for.

@sue denim For real, all those backstory for nothing. It's like they wasted time that could have been just used for the present story. They could have just made a different reason for Secretary Do to fall in love with Aide Choi. TBH, I don't even like the plot of both their secretaries falling for each other lol

The next episode is the last episode but there are still so many topics that were untouched or not discussed at all.

1. They were hinting that the deaths of the previous royals were not accidents but no one expounded on that.
2. Hui Ju's family, all that family drama then suddenly they're all supportive. Plus Hui Ju is not even having scenes with her family after that palace fire... why bother giving her a family that looks so protective of her if you're just gonna glaze over that?
3. Why I-An would suddenly abolish the monarchy? I get that Hui Jus doesn't want to be constraint by the crown, but he wanted that crown lol If that was what he wanted, we could have avoided all this drama, real talk the queen mother and let the young King be the King or the Queen be the regent.
4. I can let this one slide because human nature could just be "naturing" here, but they just used "desire" to explain the Prime Minister's actions. If he's father was so respected, and was the best prime minister and he wants to uphold their family name... if he genuinely adores and respected his friendship with Hui Ju (from what I've seen from their high school days, he does), if he truly is smart... if he really wants to protect the crown, I don't believe a simple desire for someone who doesn't even like you back is enough here. He was shown as someone intelligent and compassionate.

There are other things, but this is my top 4. I feel like they need a couple more episodes. The cut scenes/transitions are also getting on my nerves lol, I don't feel it as much in the other dramas, but with Perfect Crown, I can really feel all of these.

Still love this drama though, I good watch, I just feel like there's still so much untapped potential.

I should have just trusted the writers LOL they are the writers for a reason. All of my frustrations in Episode 9 was slapped away by Episode 10. Hui Ju and Prince I-An deserve each other, and I am so happy that they are fighting for their love. Hui Ju’s brother shined in this episode, I’m just charmed by his and his wife’s characters. The Prime Minister deserves a good choking and slapping. Lord Inpyeong deserves to be whipped to death. I also cried for the Queen and her son. This was a roller coaster.

Title Perfect Crown Spoiler
Plot wise, the purpose of Episode 9 is to make the victory sweeter and to make their bond stronger. Of course,…
Not to mention that stupid freaking contract! They should have been smart enough not to do that (I know, something happened and it lead to them making it, but if they thought that it wasn’t smart in the first place, they shouldn’t have continued.)

But then again, they were just following the script lol.
