One review above highlighted that the FL did not seem to care about her family the way she did with the ML. I don't know if I completely agree because there are many moments that Im Sol showcases her love for her grandmother (especially when she remembers her) or moments where Im Sol felt guilty for mistreating her mom/yelling at her. But I will say I wish Im Sol showed more kindness to people generally, I think it would have added even more complexity to the drama and make it much more well rounded. I like Sun Jae's bond with his friends, but the same thing for him -- I would have loved to see more compassion for him for other people besides Im Sol! I am in agreement with the review above stating that if there was a general critique of society or something else, it would have been even more moving. I think the show's only downfall is its hyperfixation on the romance, when there could have been other meaningful elements added to it that would make it even more impactful. But the bond and romance between them is beautiful, the time travel element kept me interested and I actually think Im Sol and Sun Jae are compatible physically, especially in the parts where you actually see their relationship (episode 11-12) and how they are together. I know this has a happy ending but I might update this comment once I am done. Also I cried a lot over this show lol.
Even for a feel good drama like some are saying in these comments, this show didn't capture my attention. I am literally skipping past some parts and rolling my eyes and I am on epsiode 10. There is no real basis for their love besides being love at first site -- which is fine. But there was nothing that made their love stronger besides maybe attraction for one another? Zhao Jinmai isn't even a bad actress because I LOVED her in Reset, but I also think the actor she was paired up with in Reset was much more compatible with her physically (just an opinion), I don't think the ML and FL in this show suit one another at all, lol. As others have said the FL is painfully awkward and almost terrified every time the guy tries to get close to her, and it just continues on and does not seem to get better. I have watched 3-4 C dramas in the last two weeks and I have cried with every one (Hidden Love, When I fly towards you) -- to me those shows represent a better chemistry between the leads, and their love/sparks strengthens by the later episodes. I do not see that with this, unfortunately
