I love the story, the horror and the production. I do have a problem with Khem as a character. He was kinda inconsistent from the beginning, but I could deal with one bad bean, since the rest of the characters are absolutely fabulous! Anyway, than comes the moment, when Khem finally leaves Peem and this just made me close the app and stopp watching. I will finish it, it's to good to end just because of one disloyal brat, but I need to rant now!!
So, Khem never cared once for beeing a danger to all of the people in the village, or his classmates. (Oh he said he did, but did go anyway, there were other options) Was it on him, that a bloodthirsty lady was after him and didn't care about casualties? Not really and I don't think you can blame someone who just wants to survive.
If he doesn't get the help, he will die , so he completely disregards all the danger he brings, the unwillingness of people to help him and does everything to get what he wants. I can respect that, and it's actually nice having a MC like that for once. (Well, if the writers actually would have gone for that character trade, I'm sure that wasn't the goal here😂)
But than, after Khem finally has all he wants, he just... leaves. WHY?
Oh, you're finally aware of consequences? Pour you, but don't bs me here, boy! There were enough near death moments up to this point - you knew. You even said yourself you were dangerous! Peem told you again and again he had obligations to the people he couldn't neglect. He told you no in every way possible but you didn't care.
So, after you finally got to stay, got him to finally accept your love and even got him away from the girl, after you finally got him to help you and making him break his promise, after you made him loose every person/spirit that he cared for, you have the nerve to f******, finally leave?! The only thing he has left and you leave on your own free will? Wow! Just... wow!
What a backbone! What a tenacity! What a deeply rooted loyalty and love we have here, ladys and gentlemen!
Is Khem to blame for all of it? Hell no, but it also wouldn't have happened without him, so at least stay and try to make it right for heavens sake! You never cared enough to leave before, so at least face the trouble you created! But sure, it's way easier to just go, when it gets hard for you, isn't it?
Imagen the peron you love, finally worming his way back into your arms and even though it's hard, your happy. But then your Granny dies, the stalker of your beloved kills your son and you have to kill your other son because he's in too much pain. But hey - it literally can't get any worse, at least you still have your beloved! ...except he's gone too. Not death - mind you - he just run as fast as possible the moment you closed your eyes and you know what's best? You cant follow him and he knows it! So congratulations, you now have a lot of time and silence to mourn all the death - all by yourself.
The moment Peem needed Khems help for once, the moment he lost everything that made him smile, Khem was gone. Oh, your conscience made you leave? Sorry to tell you darling, but there's nothing left. Well, exept Peems responsibility to the people, but since that didn't count in the beginning, it surely doesn't now, right?
Am I really the only one having a crisis because of that? 😂
Mostly it frustrates me this much, because I actually enjoy the show. I mean come on: finally a slow burn BL with actually well done zombie-ghosts! That's just awesome😁
What better way to confess your undying love, than staging a fantasy play with everyone beeing unknowingly involved. Oh how I love it when even the summary lies to you.
What a complete and utter waste of time... And it looked so promising too! Great cinematography, excellent acting,…
I feel you. I'm so frustrated that it had to end like this. I love the show and want to rewatch it but without an end, it just makes me angry all over again.
