I feel really satisfied after finishing this drama. Even though it has a lot of negative comments and low ratings, I still gave it a try—and I’m honestly glad I did because I really enjoyed it. One of the highlights for me is Lin Yunrui as Zhuge Yue. His scenes, especially when he appears as the King of Ximeng and the Shadow, were perfectly done. His acting is just amazing—calm, powerful, and very natural. He made Zhuge Yue such a strong and unforgettable character. I was also impressed with Chu Qiao. Even though she’s a young actress, she played her role really well. Her martial arts scenes were great—smooth, strong, and exciting to watch. She brought both strength and emotion to her character, which made me enjoy her performance even more. The villains were also well done, and I liked how they added tension to the story. The second lead, Yan Xun, played his role very well too. I especially love his black eagle—it made his character more unique and memorable. The OST is another thing I really enjoyed. Liu Yuning’s song Chasing the Wind is so nice to listen to. It fits the drama perfectly and makes the emotional scenes even more powerful. What I love the most are the scenes between Zhuge Yue and Chu Qiao. Even if their romance is simple, they really have a spark together. Their chemistry feels natural, especially in the moments when they meet or are just quietly together. There are so many scenes of them that I enjoy rewatching. As for the ending, it’s okay for me—in fact, I see it as a happy ending. Seeing them together with a son and daughter feels very satisfying after everything they’ve been through. It gave me a sense of closure and happiness. Overall, I truly love this drama. It may not be perfect for everyone, but for me, it was worth watching and very enjoyable. I really hope Zhuge Yue and Chu Qiao can work together again in the future. I think a master–student story or even an enemies-to-lovers plot would suit them so well because their chemistry is already strong.
