I would love to see Wang Yinglu & Arthur Chen together once again but I also absolutely don't want them to work with this director. This director absolutely ruined The Legend of The Female General.

She lived her life as a man behind a mask. Lived among men. Pretended like men so much that it turned into her own normal behaviour. She didn't know how to behave like a women. That is why she didn't get caught. There the show missed completely. The viewers at least me felt like she was always a woman with or without mask. There was no wonder in her when she did her first makeup or worn beautiful clothes. They certainly could have shown a scene like that. Moreover she had faced a deadly assassination attempt that led her to be in coma for a month. A severe injury should have some aftereffects when she later practiced martial arts. She was emotional over the medicine but was not shown to have concerns about those leaving permanent marks like a women would. The characterization of the main leads specifically FL was quite superficial. Nothing special to be emotionally engaging with the viewers. Except for randu where else did she actively made strategies that would make it believable to viewers she is a general. It should come as a second nature to her because she had military training. All those nice scenes which shows her potential as a general was not adopted and FL's character nor the actress played it did not have that body language to make me believe that she is battle hardened military general betrayed by her own family.
