finished watching this today and I don't get the hype around the mil at all. and I don't get why people feel the need to always "criticize" fl by saying how week and naive she is like duh ??????? like let's use your brain for a second? thanks to that mil you all love to glaze so much fl was isolated from the world at such a young age ofc she's not your cunning and strong fl.
i started this because of chen duling and joseph zeng and because they're also "main characters/cast" but so far they've been treated like side characters with so little scenes of them together and solo. the only few scenes they had together were also cut down so short with weird cutoff times it's so disappointing and annoying to see 🙁
plot armor how? She is described as stronger than most men and is trained just like the ml.Her small apearance…
plot armour yes! yes she's described as "very strong". no she's not trained like the ml, it is mentioned in the show her father only taught her a fighting "step by step procedure" which she mastered (if my memory is correct in ep 33 (?) her father's friend mentioned how she only follows it and doesn't improvises and that's leaves a lot of weak spots for her), so a character who has never been on the battlefield and has 0 experience fighting a real battle suddenly gaining merit after merit is plot armour...and a plot armour doesn't always has to be taken in. negative way as I said I loved it for her character...
Too many plot armours for the fl but I'm not complaining in fact I'm here for it!! The ml's story got compromised alot and his character became nothing but an aura farmer. idk how half of you are losing your minds over him (pretty privilege i guess) The chemistry between the fl and ml kinda became meh~ for me after a while and I started skipping their romantic scenes coz I was really not interested. As for the storyline there are too many plotholes and it felt like the screenwriter half assed the side characters storyline which made the drama even more uninteresting and generic where only the main ones are the "good guys" gets a happy ending while the rest are dust, everything just feels black and white which is BORING and nothing new in cdramas hence, generic. Poj started off so good and interesting and it's sad how everything went downhill after a while....weak story weak characters weak everything. The only good thing about this was, as I said, plot armour female lead AND the bond between fan changning and bao'er !!!!
