Heyy so I think we need to talk. This is a crazy recommendation. Very sad 😔 . I did not check what I was getting into beforehand. The second episode had me 😦. I don’t know if your first impression of me was like “ She definitely needs to cry her little black heart out” but um it seems good so far just wasn’t expecting, well, any of that. Favorite female lead. I really haven’t seen another woman written like her in a cdrama. She talked normal, she wasn’t acting childish, and she was so fleshed out I just love the way she’s written and acted. The actress did such an amazing job. I don’t know how I’ll find another Female lead like her 😔.

😁 This is one of many. I also like walking on the beach, reading books about the human condition, also really love Sarah waters and James Patterson also John green. Just started a book called A certain hunger by Chelsea Summers. I like puzzle games or anything that challenges me. This is also the first time I’ve ever argued online about an tv show didn’t think my statement would led to such a thing. Anything else you’d like to know? - [ ] I see lying for a good reason is good to you. But not to me it always starts with good intentions but I’m betting his not being honest caused misunderstandings between them.
- [ ] But why couldn’t he just be honest about the fact he wanted to spend new years with her/ or that he didn’t want her to be alone during that time (is it not more attractive when someone says they want to be with you? instead of taking the cowards way and lying about it?)

- [ ] Explain the emotional depth of letting a girl you have a crush on who was in unconscious, vulnerable state kiss you?
- [ ] While she was sleeping walking and this really bothers me instead of gently guiding her back to her room (still don’t understand how she got out) why did he pull her into a hug? and not move away?knowing she was unconscious and let that kiss happen?
- [ ] There was enough and space and time for him to not let that happen instead not only did he not tell her the details of what happenen and instead said she has she has to pay for it and acting like he’s innocent in this matter as though he wasn’t the one who let this happen.
- [ ] I guess if you like to watch stuff with the rose tinted glasses, the scene doesn’t matter much to you but me personally, it feels gross. This kind of you owe me because of what you did to me ( even though he was fault) and on top of that he accused her of assault before she actually kissed him thought not directly because of his cowardly behavior but after what she’s been through I didn’t want to see the male lead make such a statement.
- [ ] When he can actually talk to her during the day he always makes it seem as if she’s hitting on him and the she wants him so bad which is annoying to me
- [ ] Because like I’ve said this type of person who can’t be honest with someone they like and clearly want to be with, is not my cup of tea.
- [ ] Maybe you don’t see it that way or maybe you overlook the kind on lack of consent idk I’m not you.
- [ ] But seeing as she is someone who has been through sexual assault to know that someone you know and trust,took advantage and let such a thing happen while she was in vulnerable state she can’t control Is disgusting.
- [ ] Also I’ve never once brought up the actor or acting seeing as that was never the point I was making.I also believe everyone in here did amazing with the script they were given.

- [ ] The acting is not my problem. The lying is. Looking straight in her face and doing it too. what’s attractive about that? Just because sometimes he does it for a good reason? Seeing as you praise these kinds of actions I guess you like that. Putting liar in quotation marks as though he isn’t one. Do you know what makes someone a liar? It’s pretty obvious.
- [ ] Tell me is it not attractive to tell the truth? Could he not have been honest in those situations? Or is the lying attractive to you? He might be more than a liar but that doesn’t change the fact he is one. A drunk is still a drunk even if he wears a suit and tie and goes to church.

Also sorry if that was kinda aggressive but I stand by my point.

And I get that not everyone has the same taste in tv shows. You like tv shows with male leads who are childish, petty and habitual liars and I don’t.

Let’s not say a few episodes like I didn’t watch around 7 hours of this. If I shouldn’t judge after 7 hours and some change when should I judge 15hr? 24? Why should I make a commitment that big, when I already know that the mannerisms of the male lead make him a habitual liar. And I find that uncomfortable no matter what his reasoning is. Regarding him being upset about her going to different college and then pretending he didn’t know her because of it. What childish behavior to come from a grown man. She hurt your feelings so now you want to pretend that she wasn’t even worth remembering. In my opinion that’s more hurtful than me changing my plans last second to go to a different college.

Though I do regret doing this a little lol. Tried to watch episode 11 and anytime he opened his mouth I was just waiting for him to lie lol couldn’t take him serious anymore.

The point I was making in my post was that he’s always lying which was half joking half serious. If that’s my point of contention for starting this post in the first place, what is the point that I missed? Could you enlighten me?

I don’t really have a problem with him. I just didn’t like his behavior when it came to the female lead. I’m not someone who enjoys a tsudere or someone who can’t look you in the eye and be honest about their intentions with you. And I don’t really like manhuas considering the censorship in China (they tend to take things out) I however did check out the novel to get a base for the show. And the only reason I decided to watch it was because they didn’t have the big age gap which I was hoping would eliminate the uncomfortable power dynamic they had going on in the book. I should have known when I didn’t finish the novel I wasn’t going to finish the show that’s on me. But you are right I don’t know why he did such things. Considering I only watched 10 episodes.

- [ ] 37:45 -sending a text, acting like he didn’t know who she was while looking directly at her

Episode 2
- [ ] 02:36 - said he was her senior
- [ ] 03:39 - lied about his dad, not knowing he was in high school as an excuse for being late
- [ ] 20:30 -he says he didn’t see her at all
- [ ] 26:10 - he says he doesn’t really celebrate his birthday, but his parents most definitely do

Episode 3
- [ ] 02:14 - he said he was looking at the moon when his eyes are clearly looking at her
- [ ] 14:43 - he says anything responding to her question about what he wants to eat, and then rejects literally everything she recommends
- [ ] 27:35 - says he doesn’t have any money left, clearly he has enough money for renting the apartment
- [ ] 27:42 - This is more of me, suspecting that he’s lying about his restaurant not doing good
- [ ] 28:53 - implies he’s not hung up on her by the way he phrase the question, when we all know he is because that’s what the TV show is about
- [ ] 29:09 - says he moved in all of his things and then we see him bringing more of his stuff and in another episode
- [ ] 29:15 - Says she’s the person that can’t let go when she has clearly stated she moved on. Also, I didn’t like how clingy he kept trying to make her look.
- [ ] 45:24 - he says there is nothing valuable at home and we see him digging through his apartment

Episode 4
- [ ] 19:57 - says one percent discount, but he pays for everything
- [ ] I fell asleep in the middle so idk if he was lying in between
- [ ] 44:00 - he says he knew that he would be moving in with her but in a prior episode he was on the phone arguing with his friend over the situation episode 3 25:10

- [ ] 03:17 - says he feels like skipping when he obviously wanted to go be with her ( this can be debatable )
- [ ] 16:36 -“too many relatives at home and not enough room” a lie
- [ ] 24:21 -saying his parents don’t care about him much and episode seven you can see his parents do care about him
- [ ] 35:28 -he says it’s too noisy on the phone with her. It was quiet.
- [ ] 44:11 -says he’s going to meet Jiaxu who wasn’t even in the city, but then it shows him going straight to the apartment

- [ ] Had his sister lie for him 10:34
- [ ] Fell asleep but when I opened my eyes this is what I saw
- [ ] 21:19 - again says it’s too noisy and he didn’t even go inside

- [ ] 28:15 -“ She hugged you” while on the phone, which is a lie
- [ ] 29:35 - “ this person, hugged my friend” another lie
- [ ] 31:03 - “ she is someone who is madly in love with him” a lie and can we add narcissistic too?

- [ ] 03:50 -says he’s not scared while he jumps and fidgets closes his eyes to avoid the movie
- [ ] 24:00ish idk somewhere around fighting for my life -I’m pretty sure I heard her ask if he scared and he shook his head and said you were were scared to implying that he’s scared
Episode 10
- [ ] 27:09 - “ I’m not scared of anything” we’ve seen him scared
- [ ] 28:26 - lied about her kissing him (disgusting)
- [ ] 29:54 - he then points to where she supposedly kissed him, which didn’t happen (delusional)

Actually I’m going to go do it right now.
