Just read it! We definitely share the same sentiment regarding YothaGun's arc 😭 I just can't get behind this director's works fr.
There was very little attention to detail. And basically no continuity. Yotha's hair changed like every shot. The music direction pissed me off even more. Why are we blasting loud ass music/ost when the boys are having such intimate moments?! Fan editors are doing a better job than their team lmao. Also the mua team? Caked both of their faces with foundation to the point it got everywhere on cloths pls bfr

Also, the longing in Yotha's eyes when they were saying good bye to Gun's family 😭 The want for a mother's touch. Oh my heart hurt. So beautifully acted
Let me say this, YothaGun's storyline was successful solely because of PerthSanta's acting chops and chemistry. Without them playing these characters, I probably wouldn’t have even continued the series.
The direction is just.....bad. I don't think New understands the concept of "meaningful screentime". Cause there are times I actually wondered whether this was supposed to be YothaGun's arc or not. So much time went behind other characters on each episode (most of those scenes didn’t even add anything of value to the story) while they rushed the very foundation of Yotha and Gun's characteristics.
They barely touched on Yotha's trauma and his history with Wa. Most viewers didn't even get the gist of why he is so broken the way he is. Why Wa's breakup with him had such an intense and negative impact on his life. Adding that stupid kiss simply for shock value. And now he is labeled as nothing but an indecisive redflag in most people's eyes. The director genuinely ruined Yotha's character.
Gun's trauma was barely touched as well. Like what? Fixing his life long phobia only with a hug? Bffr right now lmao
The mother's arc? WTF.
Characters with complex background such as Yotha and Gun should have been explored and fleshed out more, specially when they're being played by such capable actors. So much potential gone to waste. Dear god how I pray only fine directors and plots find PerthSanta from now on. They deserve better than this.

I am not fan of force and junior, so i skip this drama till today but i wanna try coz of perth and santa. Still…
PerthSanta's storyline starts from EP 9. The acting is very good. The plot is kinda rushed. But it's enjoyable! You might even fall for Junior if you watch it haha

Perth never said that lol. It was false accusation. Perth and Cooheart met just last November in China during a concert and had the sweetest interaction, just like they used to have during lbc era! Perth back hugged him and Coo was so happy to see him! After that, Cooheart even reposted fan edits of him and Perth on his tiktok lol commenting how cute they were. And he likes almost all of Perth's ig posts. They are good friends 🤗 And the fact that Santa is now both of their mutual on screen partner haha
When he blasted the ost during the intimate scenes, it pissed me off SO bad. Like read the mood? They look so sensual and intimate why are you playing this upbeat music in the bg and killing the mood 😭

Majority is actually looking forward to LYT, even more so now that they've seen PerthSanta's on screen chemistry also the fact that it's being directed by P'Dome. A lot of bl reviewers even expressed how this is one of their most anticipated serieses on twitter, youtube and tiktok! Discussions and interests are increasing about LYT 🤗
I hope Perth would be given a character where he wears his emotions on his sleeves (maybe not to the extent of Gun but just a regular person who doesn't hide his emotions). It's already established how brilliantly he can play brooding characters. But with his expressive pretty eyes and micro expressions, I'm sure he'll exel at playing a more open character. I feel like gmmtv likes to type cast him a little bit.

No dates for releasing/shooting yet though. But yesterday new got out that Scarlet Heart TH (Perth's project) and Revamp (Santa's project) would start shooting within 1/2 months. So both Perth and Santa would probably get very busy with their individual projects 🥹
