I've been reading and watching BL for a long time. And I mean a long time. I remember when we had nothing but fanlated yaoi mangas, a couple of sad-ending indie short films and the original Takumi-kun series. ChatGPT, play that song that goes "started from the bottom now we here".

This isn't necessarily good or bad, it just means a couple of things:

• I am  extremely grateful for the quantity and quality we get now. 
• I'm ok with most classic BL tropes that are deemed unacceptable by younger/newer fans.
• I've had time to see and read good shit—both BL and non-BL—so I have some standards.
• I understand that this is the internet, AKA not that deep.
