When did it ever mentioned the whole point of drama is to destroy gui seal?? The whole point of drama is how ZH will get his revenge on ppl who killed his whole family and his personal growth. It's true that gui seal is the point where everything started but whether it is destroyed or not is definitely not the main focus of the story. I am not sure whether there will be a second season or not but for me I really liked the ending with gui seal and I am interested if they can come with an second season with that excuse ✌️.

I think It's not about being naive but he got no any choice other than trusting his benefactor. The situation is similar to the kind of grooming. His whole life is arranged by that person, so he can only go with the flow even if he trusted masked man or not. This is the kind of plot template that drama crew talked about. That is the story is based on "characters choice and fate". It was ZH choice to trust him coz of no other option and he have to accept the fate that choice brings him and plan his next plan accordingly. The best example for this template is, In the whole story that one twist many could guess was the 3rd enemy and masked man relationship. But that made it more interesting coz ppl were eager to know how ZH will turn table when the supporting system that helped him throughout as a shadow turned out to be his 3 rd enemy✌️. To know what final fate his choice gonna bring him🫡. I find it interesting.

Which episode are you now?? Coz there is a solid reason for it which will revealed later. We were all discussing about the same during its airing time here but later story turned out to be different. That is the most exciting part of these kind of genre. It's okay if you want to judge from the 1st episode, but it is not necessary the story comes out as what u imagined. This story is full of that kind of scenes, they will let u imagine one and show u another reality. If I answer ur question clearly it will bcm a spoiler. I don't want to spoil u, but just want to give u a hint that the thing he is protecting can bring harm to an entire country which is more serious considering to his family🤟.

I am not a romance fan, but still I liked their chemistry. I find the way they included the romance subplot as something that helps ml in his later parts. But guess some ppl have different opinion, but it's okay as long as they are not so entitled to think just bcz they don't like it, there is really no chemistry at all. Coz it's all personal taste. But the problem is when we see some use it as an excuse to hate this drama and down rate it😐.

The whole drama is based on this theme and why it happened and you wanted him to give to villains?. Then there won't be this drama at all. I hope you are talking sarcasm😁.

Guess it's all personal preferences. There will be ppl who find your favourite actors acting as stiff too. There was never any actor or any professional who loved unanimously by all. And here so far we can see ppl highly praised xz for his role as ZangHai and professional reviewers are analysing his micro expressions and his whole performance to find new layers of his character ZangHai. So may be this drama is not to your liking and I can see u already have a prejudice against xz's acting so it's even more understable why you find this drama which is ML centric with most of the screen time for XZ character is not interesting. Hope you find another drama that suit ur taste👍.

Collateral damage is unavoidable as it is a political drama and when the final villain will revealed you will be able to fill up many of your doubts. And also you will never see ZH become happy even after taking revenge too. This was a deliberate attempt from production side to show ML is not just revenge machine and also got delema between his revenge and humanity. And I guess they able pass that impression until the end. I hope you enjoy rest too and happy watching ❤️.

Guess script deliberately made it that way coz I remember watching Crew talked about the plot as it is based on characters "choice and fate" and not based on perfect plan. They made ZH character template different from usual revenge MLs and made him as emotional and reckless to make him look more humane. And also I guess the revenge on 3 villains were like what they deserved and based on karma. 1st by suicide in front of his son like ZH and his father in almost similar situation coz there is no way left for marquis. 2nd one killed by his own partner just like how he was to marquis and others, a backstabbing and 3rd one with truth and silence just like he did with all others and also killed by the thing that he made all these plans for and played with all those ppl. So for me all 3 revenge was justified...but yeah I am reading many other interpretations too..so it's fun reading other interpretations too and I guess that is what the most enjoyable part of these kind of series. Also glad u still enjoyed it ❤️.

It's okay...I guess it depends on personal taste. I also don't like many dramas that ppl rated high. But I really loved this one. It was fun guessing plots and this is one drama for for me that I never felt any dull moment and I never skipped any scene thinking I may miss something and that will affect my enjoying 🤟. Exactly. This revenge story was a different approach for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also may be I watched it without any perticular revenge template in mind, I was fully able to enjoy this drama and many of script dynamics were super thrilling for me. Especially the revenge plan that that is about karma and how the 3 villains got killed in the way how they were for others. One killed by suicide like zh father, other by backstabbing and last one with silent and truth. It was perfect for me. And I also read many other theories about all these plot too..guess there are many scenes that need deep discussion. May be some ppl don't like it that way but this drama was very good for me❤️.

Ahh..I really miss my time here when we were all guessing and predicting the future plots and having fun with our theories lmao😁. Anyway happy to see more new names in this discussion session and seeing them discussing❤️. And also for the new watchers instead of expecting a perticular template of ML, perticular type of revenge plan and perticular Romance dynamics if you can be more open towards the way how the drama team is prepared all these dynamics I think you can enjoy it in more exciting way. This revenge story was a new experience for me and happy watching guys💃❤️.

The character template of ZH is made as smart but also emotional and reckless too. Crew said it themselves that they made this template to make him look more humane, the one who is not perfect but makes mistakes and still move on. And also said this plot dynamics is based on characters "choice and fate". Like for each situation characters will chose a choice and there will be a result based on it. The choice of character won't be something that we make but it's what the character choose and that's how each character is made in the show. ZH is in a place with lot of cunning ppl so sometimes he can only bet on his life. I never thought of it as luck but thought how he can get help in time which u will find later who is helping him and why. Nothing is luck and it's all plan inside plans. And also he was sent to capital before completing the training coz of urgency which also lead to some of this reckless actions and when the villain is revealed u will find answers to many questions like why ZH was trained this and that. I am not saying you will definitely like it but I hope u find it interesting in the later episodes❤️.

For the 1st question yes you are missing something and if I tell you the answer it's a big spoiler 🤟. You will only get to see why that massacre really happened in later episodes. And even if we think like that from a 3rd person POV, for ZH his whole family got killed and in his eyes his father is someone who will never do anything wrong. He believes in him and so for him that killing is indeed injustice especially the whole family. And there are few other things lead to this revenge plan too and that will also only revealed later.

It's not few but in 10000s which is equal to total ratings many drama get there🤐. And many are obviously bots and malicious ratings which are already exposed in Chinese SNS. But they kept all and just removed 5 coz it's not credible?? What kind of logic is that? Either keep both or find a better system. And db is exposed to take money for elevating score and down rating rival works🤢. They did dirty with many quality works. It was trending on wb. Anyway I am happy atleast this passed 7 which is a good score and number of ratings also show how explosive is this drama🔥.

There are also many genre that I want him to work too❤️. I also don't like some genre...its individual preferences and normal. But I often see ppl confusing genre difference with good and bad script. So just thought of sharing my opinion from what I know...I was not talking in a bad tone❤️.

It was not about good or bad scripts but the genre that he chose to work in recent years are all more catering to Chinese mainstream audience. Exactly bcz he chose to do those works he got noticed by those famous directors🤟. If he really wanted just successful works he could have chose romance genre all the time. He is a A lister there and can opt what he wanted to play. U see majority of his works are TV dramas not just web dramas. So, It's not that he didn't got the works but he chose to play what is good for his future career in China👍.

313k ratings are insane... indeed a explosive drama. But for me it's really deserved a solid 8 or atleast 7.5🥲. But yeah everyone knows the credibility of db and how antis put all of their efforts to downrate their rival actors work🙂. And 7.1 is not bad considering insane number of ratings too. But one thing I can't understand is while db remove many 5 star why not removing the malicious 1 star too? I am not saying all ppl who watched this drama will give it full marks, but I don't think ppl who really watched it will give 1 star either. If it was a few it can be still justified but here the number of 1 star given by ppl for this drama in db in equal to total number of ratings for many drama there🤐.

Yeah this is how powerful ppl always manipulated the common man. They act like it's for national security but in reality it's just a stepping stone in their careers and look at how they were going to attack dongxia just for testing gui seal. But in reality soldiers were going to sacrificed for their power hunger and dongxia and it's ppl were just a testing ground for them. I guess what writers wanted is to left us to judge all these plots based on our morals. Both of us felt it's injustice for side characters to die without a chance but from the perspectives of ppl like ZBW, they will justify it with " small loss for big cause"😵‍💫. Classic Narcissists😐.

I guess it depends on ppl and their taste in drama. Some got picked up from beginning, some at 7, some 11 etc...
