There’s no traditional second or third couple, from what I recall. It’s more tightly focused on the leads and everything they are going through.

In my memory Run On left a positive impression because things didn’t get amped up to 11 and everything stayed more realistic/grounded. To this day, it’s one of my favorite realistic adult romance dramas (“unrealistic adult romance” is something like Queen of Tears — it’s great but not exactly grounded in reality, lol).

The fact this drama is up to 8.4 is admirable. So many haters who don’t have anything better to do than to tank rankings on MDL even though no one in China cares about MDL so the artists/creators won’t be impacted.

Esther Yu is a good voice actress so she can change her voice if the drama calls for it. But here the director obviously wanted her “normal” voice as opposed to something more serious like in a historical drama :)

People complaining about Esther Yu’s voice is so cliche at this point 🙄

That was a crazy review which also personally attacked Esther Yu who has absolutely no control over international relations between Thailand 🇹🇭 and Cambodia 🇰🇭

Furthermore, I vote to ban that person from associating with The First Frost fandom. Most fans of TFF & WIFTY are nice and chill people — we don’t want to be associated with any hateful messages like that 😳

Leaving a full review like that after less than half of the episodes have been released is strange 🙄

I understand why she needs to take the language course (at Nana’s parents’ school) but I’m not sure why she’s also attending (?) regular school with Nana. In one of the episodes ML dropped her off in front of “regular” school boy language school. Unless they are in the same area/same school :)

Also “Her Private Life” is nice too — it actually gets better as the show goes on (unlike, say, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim).

WWwSK started off incredibly strong/funny but it didn’t maintain that quality until the end 😳

“Love to Hate You” is great and has similar vibes.
“Run On” is great too but is more chill.

Everyone has different tastes but most people like this drama & chemistry between the leads. It’s a pretty solid romcom with old-school vibes. I think they are leaning into some tropes on purpose — we joke in the comments that FL could drown in a puddle or a tea cup ☕️🤣

It’s okay as long as you are ready for it. 2ML is a nice person so at least he’s not toxic. But I think some people were disappointed writers decided to take an easy way out (more tropey) instead of just making 2ML a protective big brother type with simply platonic feelings.

Many here share the same opinion but, just knowing how dramas work, they will end up together. 2ML just needs time to get over FL which means 2ML+2FL won’t be an item until the second half of the last episode, lol.

That’s my guess too! Maybe at the wedding of FL+ML, 😂

Just based on experience and episode count, I predicted it’d be until 8-9 when ML finds out, so we are kind of on schedule. But I think what made the wait feel longer is writers making 2ML into a typical second lead who is in love with FL. Many were hoping that both 2FL and 2ML would be a fresh(er) type of characters that don’t love ML/FL but are forced to play a role (would-be fiancé of ML and fake husband of FL). So instead of ML+FL and 2ML+2FL uniting their efforts on how to get them out of their predicaments (to break up ML+2Gl marriage allowance & to convince families to allow their marriages), we got a more typical plot. And this probably means 2FL+2ML won’t become an item until close to the end because 2ML needs time to get over FL.

Ahhh… got it, thank you! When ML dropped off FL at school (on a motorcycle) they arrived to the campus of a regular school, so that started my process of confusion. And then there was his high school uniform which she got to wear… Perhaps, I shouldn’t be think too much since this is more of a fun drama (like, where do they find totally empty streets to race / close them off, lol) 😆
