Oh, I didn’t know the background. Did Gu Man want a real game for YAMG and it took that long to get HoK to sign on? I kind of thought HoK (Tencent Games) paid to be featured in the drama because it was a great advertisement :)

It was hilarious and fun. The supposedly London backdrop later on was clearly not real but it only lasted 30 seconds, a minute tops?

Unfortunately for Gina, TIA source novels have almost zero romance. And, she probably wouldn’t even be in season 2. Their characters would reunite in a hypothetical season 3, probably.

What surprised me more is having six people in one dorm room. Usually it’s four people or less.

I’m doing an annual rewatching of Amongst a Snowstorm of Love (my go-to winter drama), so I don’t mind a slow burn if it’s done well :)

QoT couple’s wedding was exactly like the real life wedding of Crash Landing Onto You couple (same author). And the three private investigators are actors & characters from My Love from the Star (same author; same lead actor & others).

P.S. Only in a fantasy fanfic (TIA) does Gina get YY over Dilraba 🤣🤣🤣

I hope this drama stays relatively chill & stress-free like You Are My Glory… even Love O2O was pretty chill & trope-free, if I recall correctly.

I wonder if we’ll get 4 episode next. They have trailers for ep. 6-9!

Some previous comments give a hint about ML’s future (under the spoiler tag) if you are interested:)

First 4 episodes just establish the background of ML, FL, their friends & families (well, and FL’s crush on 2ML). Partway through ep. 4 is when things pick up :)

We only see ML for about 1.5 episodes in first 5 episodes. He’s nice enough but a bit distant from FL because of a misunderstanding. Judging by the previews, their relationship will develop & get better. I’d say it’s not one of those dramas where ML is a big boss who is super cold/mean but also not the one where ML falls in love instantly. This is more of a realistic drama (but a bit funny too).

I don’t think we are meant to feel any sympathy for 2ML. He should just keep his hands/eyes/thoughts off our FL :)

For me personally the first 4 episodes were more about FL & her relationship with her friends/family as opposed to 2ML. It shows her last semester of university, job search, and how she found a job. Without knowing the whole storyline, I can’t say if there’s a more effective way but it seems okay to me. This is still better than those dramas where 1/2 or 2/3 of episodes are spent on first unsuccessful relationship and then only last 1/2 or 1/3 on reconciliation & second relationship. But this is just my opinion:)

2ML is attractive and smart. That’s enough for a crush :)

Even if we are being extremely generous, it seems like he can’t make up his mind between the two girls which is leading to mixed signals & confusion for everyone involved.

Haha… College Rong Rong wasn’t horrible, you can realistically see that situation happening given the circumstances. And they seemed to reconcile by the time of graduation. But I can totally see how those wounds would reopen when 2ML will probably try to pursue FL.

FL’s cousin is cool and has a great chemistry with FL. But it will probably turn out that he lied to ML in the beginning and now FL is bearing the blame.

They haven’t explained it fully but it’s implied ML has some issue(s) that prevent from him a surgeon (they showed his hand shaking/trembling).
Early in Ep. 1 they showed ML agreeing to drive to meet FL — FL’s cousins claimed FL saw ML at an event and been asking about him. But most likely we will find out that FL’s cousin made up that story and FL didn’t ask about ML. But ML probably is unhappy that FL doesn’t recognize him now if she supposedly was into him before the accident.
