If we are taking bets on the ending, I’d be wagering that kid’s mom will die and the leads will raise him together. What does everyone else think? 💭

It’d make a lot of sense for the kid to be FL’s, but kid’s mom keeps claiming she gave birth to him 🤔

The twists in the latest two episodes may be a bit too much. At this point the kid will turn out to be a spy or something 😳🤣

Watch this for sure! Unless you dislike kissing in dramas. This is definitely not a drama for people who are allergic to seeing leads make out 💋 😘🤣

FL is the ONLY person who doesn’t want to do bad things to him. She just wants to chill and take a break from her office job in the modern world.

His chemistry with FL is on fire 🔥 in this drama (and he also always voices himself). Lighter & Princess is a good modern drama with him to watch. But skip Eat Run Love (good cast but not very good writing).

From what the novel readers who watch donghua have told us, donghua is more entertaining like the drama (and in both versions some things have been changed from the novels). If you want to pick it up, I think episode 63 or 64 is when drama ends/new world begins in donghua. Personally, I cheated and looked up outlines of the second novel (Immortal World) to see how everything ends (donghua will run until 2039-2040 to finish both novels 😳). Can’t speak about quality of thr writing in the second novel but plot points are very interesting and even origins of the green vial get explained at the end.

Supposedly the drama shares a lot with donghua (made by the same team). Donghua is more advanced (up to Nascent Level achievement, I think). it’s aired weekly and can be watched even on YouTube

You are welcome! The ending was debated quite a bit (in a good way) after it aired. The comments section settled on the fact there were mentions of the leads being together forever (or recognizing each other later… something along those lines). Then the name of ML’s company in first and last episodes translates as Three Mountains (reference to where action took place), the project was a resort (something ML learned FL likes to do — relax, lol), ML specifically asked for FL for this project (I think?), stairs scene in the end mimicking their first encounter, snake painting & something else in the background of the staircase scene at the end.
Of course, I’d love more episodes in the modern day but censors won’t allow it. So we are now rooting for the leads to be in a modern drama together 😊

The Immortal Ascension is very good (like another commenter said). Just don’t expect any romance :)

Dramas have to resort to “it was a dream” / “it happened in a book” ending due to strong censorship rules in China (apparently, some people take these dramas too seriously and end their lives hoping to be reborn, etc.). So the drama had to make censors happy by leaving a room for “dream” interpretation. However, there were a lot of hints it wasn’t a dream (for example, ML didn’t take his flight and waited for FL), so everyone agrees that FL regained memories from their first 3 lifetimes together, ML has memories too, and now this is gong to be their 4th lifetime together. Theoretically, dual cultivation is supposed to be even more intimate than a standard bedroom encounter. The drama tried to be a bit coy, but it’s pretty clear there could have been babies made 🫣

I admire people who start watching 100-episode dramas while they are still airing. Will set this aside for now and check in a closer to the end. Writing and plot are hard to maintain when a drama is so long, but let’s hope for the best! :)
