WDBTD was airing about the same time as Moonlit Reunion and there were a lot of drama in MR comments from anti fans of ML or something like that. MR and WDBTD were actually based on books of the same author but genres are different. MR was also good (maybe not as good as WDBTD) but got downvoted by haters, especially in the beginning. Which is kind of silly because no one in Chinese entertainment industry pays attention to MDL ratings — they use their own criteria, so up/downvoting dramas/stars on MDL using bot accounts is pointless 🙄

Chinese platforms usually have free tier, VIP (subscription per month/year), then SVIP (aka TVOD; separate one-time charge for each show to watch 1 episode early). Then in the end for most shows they do Express Package which allows access to the last 3-4 episodes for another one-time fee. That’s what helps to pay for the content 😁

If I remember correctly, she was sad about finding out ML met his first love (FL), so she was disappointed and played sad/moody music. 2ML also had something bad happen (got an earful from his boss?) so her music matched his mood.

Ah, I see. FL doesn’t have full amnesia — only memory of last 2-3 years is gone. And her memory will come back well before the end. It’s not going to be like the source book when ML & FL apparently had a child together while she still didn’t remember everything 🤣

Sounds good! Look in the comments of that drama for some extra materials for after the ending that creators provided. And if you have any questions, comments section of that drama is a good friendly place (unlike some dramas where there is too much… drama/fighting, lol).

It’s not super intense but it’s more medium-burn (is that a term? lol) as opposed to slow-burn dramas like “Amidst a Snowstorm of Love” and “Love Me, Love My Voice” (both by same author and both very lovely). Personally, AYTO is a rare drama I’ve rewatched — whenever I get tired of lazy writing full of tropes (which exists even in very $$$ dramas), I turn it on to watch a drama where people behave logically and don’t blindly fall into traps set by bad people 😁

The book has a happy ending, so we are all assuming it will be true for the drama as well. If not, we riot! 😳

I think the character is supposed to be a buffoon, someone clearly not qualified to be Crown Prince.

The Ex is clearly delusional, but — for better or worse — people like that exist in real life, so this is not unusual 🥺

She didn’t need to cover up anymore because she was standing up. I think this was just writers trying to find a way for them to reconnect — so they came up with idea of her returning the jacket.

ML should ask his Uncle to help deal with the Ex. White Truck of Doom will easily deal with him 😈

Actually, he did the right thing because doctors rotate every few minutes when doing chest compressions (very physically demanding). Since he knows how to do it, he was able to help.

FL is just doing damage-control the best she can. Director is right across the street so she can’t have Ex throwing fits, harassing her, etc. Especially because she’s technically still married to the Ex. It’s very easy for Ex to ruin everything for her.
