This is no related at all, all settings (story/plot) are different or not same. Please don't drag any drama here.…
The author is the same which is why I asked. I am not asking which one is better (that is subjective) but more about content/setting and the feel. For example, “When I Fly…” was primarily set in high school and was very chill.
Question for those who read the original material: how does this compare to When I Fly Towards You? That is one of my all-time favorite dramas (C or K).
If you haven’t watched them, check out “Welcome to Samdal-ri” (same theme but way, way better) or “The…
I am not sure we watched the same show. Is there a censored edition? :) ML & FL dated for a few years before the breakup so there definitely was physical intimacy between them. The other guy (hard to call him 2ML because he is so irrelevant) drove a flashy sports car and did not in any way indicate he was saving himself for FL.

You most likely will not like Motel California then. At least, in Samdal-ri there was an explanation/logic behind everything (even why ML’s dad was so against FL & FL’s family was eventually explained). Here — not so much.
P.S. I don’t remember FL in Samdal-ri screaming a lot (she was mostly depressed & dejected). Her older sister on the other hand… :)
I'm coming here every week to read comments, hoping the story has progressed and the characters have developed…

Ji Yun's dad was irresponsible. Knowing he was the only parent to a young daughter, how could he go into that…
I really like the drama overall, but the writers (or even the director) did not do a good job setting up the rescue/death. No reason for dad to rush into a burning building when there were a lot of firefighters at the scene. So many more plausible ways for “death while rescuing child ML” they could have come up with. But, presuming ML & FL can move on by end of Episode 10, we can quickly forget about that and go back to admiring the cute couple :)
EPISODE 7:Loving it so far and the realism they’re portraying. Love isn’t always sunshine and rainbows like…
FL’s dad actually is nice and did not do anything wrong. She just hates him for a reason that was not his fault (he was not cheating with ML’s mom; he was nicely helping her and could not have predicted that his wife/FL’s mom would die).
Idk I kinda love this 'solve a case in each episode' approach. And for now all cases imo was elegantly done by…
Recruiting work is nice, especially in the latest episodes. The scheming evil business rival needs to leave Peoplez alone and focus on her own business though 👿
We are all here for romance so can only hope the business things will be kept to a minimum. And, of course, the situation with the father is looming… 😒
