I had to avoid looking in the comments until I caught up to the latest episode 🙈

To be fair, she hasn’t seen his brother yet. And she doesn’t even know that it’s his brother.

Seems that everyone is now shipping Sima & brother. I have no problem with the original pairing but yes, new pair is 🔥

Assuming the brother is a good character, I’d also vote for him & Sima over constable & Sima.

The bracelet (protection) was damaged but I am not sure it’s getting worse (at least, they didn’t say it clearly). But, yes, ML is in for a surprise when he finds out who he is.

To me, the inn ark was slightly less interesting compared to the painting ark. Painting ark actually brought the ML & FL together ❤️ and it was fun seeing FL be the fighter.

The ending needs to be logical and make sense based on preceding episodes. But if a choice is Open Ending vs Bad Ending, I would be very conflicted. This has been a pretty light drama so far (relatively speaking), so I’d personally be disappointed if there was a bad ending.

We — the viewers — of course disagree with FL’s sad. But his behavior is logical if we assume his main concern is FL’s safety and wellbeing in the longterm. It’s similar to how nowadays many parents would be opposed to their child marrying a police officer or someone else in a dangerous line of work. And, let’s be fair, by C-drama standards the dad is being very nice about it and not trying kill/imprison/exile ML, lol

It seems that mom was still traumatized from spending 10+ years as a statue. Also, the FL was a young girl when mom last saw her and now she’s all grown. So they needed some time to get to know each other.

I agree with your thoughts on ML & FL. Glad that isn’t going to last long. With regards to serpent demon, honestly, I hope the demon & the human stay together and live happily ever after. That person suffered so much in her life.

Ah, I see. I try to stay away from such dramas but can’t be avoided when it’s an ongoing drama. The worst example for me was “A Beautiful Lie” (modern drama) where the last 2-3 episodes were complete nonsense, completely invalidated all preceding episodes, and basically drove all viewers insane. And that drama had a really good cast too. So disappointing 😡

Sima attacks him because he’s a bad guy (kicked another man) and he’s very suspicious. A good demon would behave nicely. At least, that’s her thinking.

Probably something to help get rid of her fiance.

For once, a drama character has some awareness :)

I agree that it’s an overused and unnecessary trope at this point. But here it doesn’t last very long, it seems.

Friendly note for when you will watch #3 (Chasing in the Wild). After the main part of the episode ends, there’s a photo or two shown but the episode is not over — there’s an extra scene after that. So be careful with fast-forwarding :) The first two shows didn’t have that but the episodes were shorter.

Full transparency — waiting on Viki was too much for me, so I watched the rest of the first series elsewhere (Viki’s advantage is subtitled songs though). Once I finish the third one, I will join you all in watching this one in realtime. The recaps before each episode will come in very handy :)

Totlly understand you. FYI in first two series episodes are probably 35-40 minutes long because there’s a recap & intro in the beginning and preview & credits at the end. So they are very quick and short to watch. If you have Viki, first two series are being updated there (tomorrow have 6/10 for 1st series and 2/10 for 2nd). So maybe that will be a good place for you to watch without binging :)
