This show excels when it comes to comedy and the strong overall cast is also very well suited to comedic hijinks. That is why the creators should have just made this a pure fun workplace comedy with romantic elements. The drama elements are not great here.

This drama is surprisingly deep in the topics it covers. FL is awesome 😎

This is not the worst sports drama but anyone watching it should be prepared to forget about realism & logic. For realistic short track speed skating watch Beyond (2022). This one is more like a typical idol drama full of cliches and tropes. For example, creators don’t even bother acknowledging there are distances other than 1500m — if a goal of the team is to win the most medals, why take the FL who is most suited to 500 & 1000 and try to force her into 1500? You are going from possible 3 gold medals to 1 gold.

His logic is deeply flawed but it’s basically a trope of him forcing a breakup so that she would go overseas & would not be disowned by her family. I can’t find a reasonable explanation for him simply beating up a guy in front of everyone but others claim it was because he was so angry. Honestly, those few episodes (20-23) were meh but rest of the series was very nice.

SML in “Put Your Head…” quickly switches to SFL who makes a better man of him, so there’s no annoying triangle there. Finished Meeting You (10/10). Thanks for the recommendation — will check out that Japanese series next (on Netflix it’s called Saving My Stupid Youth).

We have similar tastes :) “You are my lover…” is very good — even its third pair could have their own drama (and how many third pairs get their own theme songs like in this drama 🥰). Have you watched “Put Your Head on My Shoulder”? Also nice relaxing drama (I prefer it with Netflix subs as opposed to Viki subs).

I was mostly really curious to know how the hero ended up in jail (and, honestly, was pretty surprised it was due to him being dumb). The present day episodes were actually not very angsty and it was nice to see our heroes get evolve and smarten up :)

Yes, seems to be really nice so far. I think you’d love “When I Fly Towards You” (similar vibe; possibly best high school/college C-drama) and maybe “You Are My Lover, Friend” (also funny & light except for one minor storyline).

The business talk is really not that bad. Most of the time it’s our heroes solving some issues or overcoming problems caused by bad people. It’s not boring but they could have reduced the number of episodes if good guys had less enemies, lol… P.S. If you do watch this, remember to watch Episode 41 (Epilogue special) which is now available on Viki.

FYI there’s a 12-minute Epilogue (episode 41 on Viki) to this series (“Special” on MDL). It’s a required watch to anyone who enjoyed this drama or wants to see the full ending.

FYI, this is now on Viki as Episode 41 of the original series. It’s really well done and should be watched by everyone who enjoyed the drama.

For what it’s worth, the creators only filmed enough for 30 episodes not 36 (even the script called for 33 episodes, if I recall correctly). More episodes would have definitely be better but, perhaps, once they got back from filming and reviewed the material they shot, they had to reevaluate their plans.

No, the actress has no issues with her legs. Someone had posted that they used green screen & CGI to make it appear as she had no legs.

From historical ones, I’d suggest Are You The One. It’s pretty light (especially in the beginning), has a great lead pair, and avoids bad tropes (heroes act smart and behave logically). And the story grows in scope quite a lot.

The last two episodes of this drama (ep. 31 & 32) are truly great! With so many dramas (even good ones) forcing tired tropes even at the end, it’s nice to see there are creators (director/writer) who can end a drama properly and give the audience what they deserve 👏

How do you seek investments for a historical drama? Car logos on carriages? ‘999’ on healing pouches? 😆

I highly recommend Are You The One for you. It has one of the best female characters ever and, through the drama, it’s shown just how much ML loves & supports her and the other way around. It starts off as a hunt for a local rebel leader but it expands a lot in scope and stakes involved 😉

Prince Ning gave him that woman so she could spy on him and help the prince. That is a typical scheme of the Prince (as we learn from the ML later). Previously, ML had no wives/concubines, so Prince couldn’t have an excuse to do this. But now that ML took FL as concubine, ML can’t find a legitimate excuse to not take another one.

Some rumors are saying July for season 2 but it isn’t confirmed yet. In the meantime, watch a finished drama like the “short” 40-episode Are You The One :)
