I am rather annoyed. I went on the TBT forum as I am watching it now and saw a comment saying that TFF fans downvoted…
There are trolls who have nothing better to do than to try to start a war between fans of different dramas or different actor/actress (and those trolls are often not a fan of either of the two parties). This happens here on MDL and on the social media/online platforms in general. The best thing we can do is to block & ignore them. TFF and TBT are both nice dramas and can peacefully coexist in the world :)
General consensus seems to be that fans of TFF would enjoy The Best Thing (and the other way around). I’ve watched both and like TFF slightly better but TBT is also very good.
Hmm some people saying that TFF fans rated TBT low meanwhile this drama also suffered from trolls and if it was…
I’ve watched both TFF and TBT in realtime and I thought fans of both shows overlapped and/or were nice to the other show. Trolls are everywhere so let’s avoid them and get along.
Thank you the first frost..you help me move on from lovely runner..now waiting for a drama that can help me move…
The Best Thing is pretty nice and just finished airing. It’s maybe a bit lighter in tone but it does have some issues for FL to overcome. People rate is pretty highly here.
Another unnecessary breakup in a CDRAMA?? LOUD SIGH*It infuriated me when Wen Zhi's parents spoke to Shan Chong…
The parents weren’t even THAT bad (at least, compared to many other drama parents). But the way ML reacted and handled it is kind of weird. How exactly does he plan to prove himself if even winning an Olympic gold medal 🥇 isn’t going to be enough?
No, they won’t get together in Episode 18 (it’s already out for SVIP). Maybe in Episode 19 but preview is…
Yup. And to make it worse, I believe people said original novel had no breakup. Drama scriptwriters made it a lot more like a typical trope-y drama (e.g., in the novel Yan didn’t know Nanfeng in school).
No, it’s not necessary because ML would have left her city very soon to go train with the national team, so they could have continued long-distance relationship like Shan Shan and Dai Duo do. And the most ridiculous thing about the breakup is ML has no way to prove himself to FL’s parents outside of becoming a billionaire overnight. The parents already told him multiple times that even winning Olympic gold medal would not be enough.
Finally caught up to episode 18. Who was cutting onions in episodes 16 and 17? I found myself in tears for both…

They should’ve cut out ep 17. Their break up is so unnecessary and it’s unfortunate they used this trope in…

Uhhh... It's an unnecessary break up. I wished SC said something like"give me time to prove to your parents that…

Its a light breakup...He told her... :"I need to step upAnd build a futureThat is stable and secureFor both of…
The breakup is not in the novel (AFAIK). FL is not a sheltered orchid who seeks/needs parental approval. She already lives independently, pursues her passion (not approved by parents), and has her own source of income. But — setting all of that aside — how exactly does ML plan to prove himself to her parents during so-called “temporary break”? They already told him multiple times that even winning Olympic gold medal would not be enough and they are concerned about longevity of his athletic career. Is he going to magically become a billionaire overnight? That’s the part that makes the least sense to me 🤨
Thank you, it’s 1897 photo of IU’s character in Hotel Del Luna 🥰
