The FL is clearly a good person (albeit she’s not weak and doesn’t put up with anything), but ML is more of an orange/red flag.

Spot on about “usual suspects” — there was at least one account I had in my ban list already for leaving fake reviews. And some other low ratings were by new accounts with all 0s. Do people really have nothing better to do?

The confetti 🎉 scene at the end of episode 2 was so sweet 🥹

Haters. It was 8.x after episode 1 but haters must woken up over the weekend and knocked the rating down even though episode 2 was quite good.

Yes, TFF is awesome and I can’t wait for the new HL/TFF universe drama coming out in the fall 🥰
Kim Bum is only nominally a part of the love triangle here, but he’s been friendzoned hard by FL, so it’s clearly not happening. Have you watched Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha? It’s arguably one of the three main sources of inspiration for this writer along with TFF and Once Upon a Small Town (which is vastly underrated; probably got down ranked by Joy antis).

It’s not anywhere as good as TFF so far, but the ML does care about FL. I guess if you are okay with not thinking too hard about why things are happening, this is a nice drama (8.0 is about right). But it’s written by a first time writer and it doesn’t have the depth and logical reasoning that a more seasoned writer / novel would have. So it’s a lot more silly than TFF.

If the writer borrowed more from The First Frost, it’d be even better. This isn’t a bad drama but the word “logic” doesn’t exist in that universe 😁

If you’ve watched it so far, makes sense to just finish it. It’s only 6 episodes. I will stick it out :)

The actors are doing the best they can with what the writer gave them (which is uneven… some things are very good, but other things are illogical & ridiculous)

They are both Korean, so they should have just had them speak Korean with a few French words. No shame in that 🙄

It’s showing 8.0 to me now. I don’t rate until the end because so many dramas tend to get bad in the last third or half. Or even excellent 36-40 episode dramas can fumble last 1-2 episodes 😢

In this drama we have to leave logic and crucial thinking at the door… like, way out of the door… on the other side of the ocean 🌊

That’s a very strong statement. Obviously, the drama isn’t finished yet, but so far the rating is about right.

I think the other girl (who played the maid) is probably FL’s bestie and/or roommate, so they would be the ones helping each other. And, probably, that girl will have a romantic storyline with ML’s assistant. We all know how that works 🤣

So far, they haven’t shown any evil things that she had done. So she probably was just a lowborn person who didn’t put up with any 💩 in the palace and that’s why she got such a bad reputation from people who hated her. So she’s not evil but definitely not a pushover:)

Haha… The Story of Park's Marriage Contract probably had done the best job with this topic (FL from old days getting used to modern world), but we’ll see more of FL living in modern world tomorrow :)

Yes, too many dramas fall off in second half or last third, so let’s hope this one managed to keep the momentum going. They don’t need to reinvent the wheel — just don’t do dumb annoying trope-y things 🙏
