If this drama were based on a serialized novel, the ___ couple would for sure have kid(s) of their own in ____ 🤣

CPOP Universe is a legitimate site. But am I the only who wishes C-dramas had OST CDs/vinyls like K-dramas usually…
I haven’t watched FoF yet but I remember seeing hat OST box. But I do find it interesting that C-dramas have a ton of merch (even trading cards!) but not something so basic as OSTs. Maybe it’s a right issue or maybe there’s no demand locally.

P.S. A lot of C-drama merch is plushies/books/pendants/etc. but there are sometimes unique items. For example Moonlit Reunion had wooden hair accessories inlaid with pearl (like a hair comb)

Ignore that comment. There are two ā€œcouplesā€ (pairs that you mentioned).

Is this worth starting? I am still traumatized from fangs of fortune...please tell me if this is a sobbfest too…
It’s always safer to wait, especially if you haven’t started it. It’s great so far (well, I’m on ep. 12 of 14) but how things will end is not clear 🄺

Yo! Merch is out but it’s preorders only since the drama is still airing. This is a legal site compared to alibaba.…
CPOP Universe is a legitimate site. But am I the only who wishes C-dramas had OST CDs/vinyls like K-dramas usually do? Very few C-dramas have physical OSTs even though many C-dramas have great soundtracks

Yes, but I'm betting on sad or open ending. Personally, I want a sad ending for my Wuwu couple since I like the…
Haha… I realize people enjoy different things but it’s hard for me to enjoy idea of investing 20-40+ hours into a story that has a sad ending ending. It needs to be at least an open ending with a possibility of a happy ending (not naming any examples to avoid spoilers). But whatever ending they pick, I hope it will be better set up than in The Demon Hunter’s Romance šŸ™„šŸ˜³

Indeed you are.
Thanks! I’m on episode 12 and seeing the happy ā€œparent coupleā€ makes me worried their ending will not be a happy one 🄺😢

Am I correct in assuming that we don’t know how the author/director will end the drama? 🄺🫣😳

I really love "Zhang Ruo Nan" why isn't she getting good dramas? "First Frost" did so well so…
Also disappointed after reading the review & comments here. But check out ā€œMy Bossā€ if you haven’t watched it yet. It’s a lot better than it sounds and is one of the rare dramas where I wished they had made even more episodes

I took the info from the link below but maybe it was author’s interpretation of the extras and not fully accurate

How are there eight reviews already? We haven't even hit the halfway point yet. And this is why we have issues…
And only 3 of them are honest about the number of episodes watched. Others have a time machine… unless I missed something and all episodes had been leaked like with PoJ 😁

So glad I waited because now that I’ve skimmed reviews & comments this drama can be safely skipped.

P.S. Would highly recommend ā€œThe First Frostā€ for a show where FL actually overcomes her tragic circumstances. It’s also on Netflix.

Thanks! It seemed like something that would be in an ā€œextraā€ chapters but wanted to double check :)

Does the post-credit scene at the end originate in the book? Or did the drama writers came up with it themselves?

Bao’er and Ning spin-off please!!
Oh, just found out that more story of the kids (and them in adulthood) is told in novel’s extras:

If you are reading the novel, look for the chapters titled "The Emperor's Childhood Sweetheart" or "Ning Niang and the Little Emperor" to find this specific content!

Feels like we were spoiled by how high the production quality was for this. Overall such an enjoyable show. High…
This drama had a very high budget (S+ tier) which might be why production company sold it to both Tencent and iQIYI (and Netflix too). Interestingly, it’s rumored the leads took slightly less money to ensure more budget would be allocated to production values and visual effects.
