This drama was genuinely a test of my patience, and I honestly hope I never experience a “love” like this in my life—if it can even be called love in the first place. It wasn’t love, it was possession, obsession, and straight-up sickness
The male lead actually scared me. He was insanely obsessed with her, and let’s not forget that he literally made a bet on her. He was manipulative to the core and knew exactly how to make people come back to him every single time. One of the creepiest things he did was make her install a location-sharing app so he could track where she was and show up wherever she went. I genuinely don’t think I would’ve survived if I were in the female lead’s place. There was even that scene where she was at a work dinner, and the moment he found out, he got so jealous that he forced her to leave for absolutely no reason. That’s not romantic, that’s disturbing. He was sick, and I mean that in the worst way possible
I truly did not want him to get a happy ending. He completely ruined her, and the worst part is that he admitted it himself. He literally said he wanted to destroy her so she would stay with him, and that’s exactly what happened. He drove her insane, and his influence on her was so obviously toxic. By the end, she had basically become the female version of him.
And of course, his mother played a huge part in why he turned out the way he did. She was one of the main reasons he became so mentally unstable. He needed serious psychological help, and I still don’t understand why he never got it. His friends were weird too because instead of telling him to get help, they kept enabling him.
One of the scenes that really disgusted me was when he beat up Kairi after finding out Kairi had tried to assault her, but then later that same day he took her back to his apartment and put her through something just as traumatic—if not worse. That scene made me sick.
As for the female lead, I honestly just felt bad for her. She was such a pitiful character and never really knew how to stand up for herself properly. I don’t know why her luck was so awful that she kept attracting nothing but terrible men. And I still don’t understand why she acted so normal around Kairi after he literally tried to assault her, or why she forgave him at all. That said, she was absolutely gorgeous, and her acting was genuinely good, so I’ll give her that.
My favorite character was Rin. As for the worst character after the mother, definitely Chiaki
He is very, very handsome, his lips are beautiful, and his acting is flawless because he really provoked me
you know one way or another that this work was misogyny, messed up. She had accepted that her husband had a boyfriend and allowed him to live with them , but what if the "lover" was a girl? Would she have accepted that?
oh gosh it was so painful to watch another female doing that to herself just because of a boy who wants to break up with her like girl have a self respect it's very important
