No Yu would never accept another drama to be just a male accessory this time atleast not like in the novel. You can see in the trailer and Bts that jiang mu races cars, rides bikes and fights well, she’s atleast not as weak as in the novel she’s looks brave, she is also the team leader of a dance group i heard.if the plot followed the original novel it would do nothing for her again, I think it’s enough if they add this character arc for her in this drama. The novel fans would be angry again if they change it too much. What I am excited about is their chemistry I miss romcoms w good chemistry 😭

Right! The role, they think performing only strong and badass character is real acting. I find it funny lol make some average person play ling miaomiao role it would be unwatchable. I think for Esther she definitely can act but she needs to choose more melodramatic scripts. Ski into love did nothing for her, MJTY was another poor script, LGIEF was all butterflies and rainbows. I’m actually loooking so forward to speed and love the trailer already has sm tension and Esther seemed to really put her real emotions in this one. Can’t wait ! I love angsty Yu shuxin. It’s different from her previous roles

I heard that she was mistreated in MJTY by the director. Same w Linghe. You can easily see the show took more time to develop the 2nd leads relationship. I the first leads in the drama didn’t have a single promotional videos but the 2nd leads had many. I don’t wanna believe the rumours but it indeed seemed like both Linghe and shuxin had a hard time cooperating w the director, it’s like they’re choosen as a first leads just to bring traffic. The script didn’t let both them shine tch

Right like saying something like she’s a a cartoon, not a real actress is just out of line. I just read in Xhs that only Yang zi, bai jingting and Esther has 3 drama over 40 million views per episodes in c-ent quite impressive. They can mock how much they want but Esther really knows what the audiences wants to see. She also goood at her craft I’m not watching any other actress playing Ling miaomiao role unless it’s Esther. She was that good there her little expressions change w every word. In fact it felt boring in the later episodes where the plot wasn’t focused on her. The hate comments in every comment section related to her is insane it kinda ruins the drama experience for the passer-by, some fans of other artist just won’t leave her alone.

The hate she gets is insane insane. Most of Chinese dramas has this cute and childish acting but it’s only a problem when it’s her. Esther has less shows compared to actress of her generation and now you can see that she’s transitioning. It honestly hurts to see comments under her related post about her voice and people saying she doesn’t deserve to be and actress or whatsoever, calling her all sort of names! Like please and most of the ppl who cared enough to comment about her voice just turned out to be fans of other artist💀 I simply don’t think she’s the greatest actress out there (no one in cent has ever impressed me w their acting) but she can CRY really well or I just think she still didn’t choose any scripts to highlight her acting skills too much apart from MJTY. I just wish people who hate her stop coming to her comment and ruin the drama experience for me because even if you don’t like her, her dramas are selling well every year and that just shows her strength. She just needs more dramas and I’m really happy she’s picking more matured characters in her upcoming dramas but I’ll also miss her in cute dramas because no one does cute roles better than her😭

Lol I had the same problem w LGIEF but nonetheless loved the show. Can’t give any spoiler because I’m still in ep 2 rn🥲 but the ml is funny here too I’m finding it pretty engaging.

I remember they had to rush MJTY because there was a scandal of a crew and because of the rush Esther couldn’t even promote the drama well. I still remember there were lots of promotional materials for the 2nd lead but not even a single promotional video of the 1st leads🥲 hope they take time because the ending of LGIEF kinda feel rushed too.

It’s been 4 years since LBFAD? 😭 they will probably send it later even if they shoot in June 16th🧍‍♀️I heard this summer is already packed with IQIYi dramas so I think we need to wait 4 or more months. I need them to send out materials of them every single week to survive help😭

Also I think her character was written that way to make ppl find her annoying😭 like even dfqc admits it but yeah later falls in love😏 I think what makes their chemistry so good and enjoyable to watch is the difference between there personalities. Orchid is like the brightest sunshine that changed dfqc for the better. Her baby character in the beginning does get annoying but it made dfqc appear more manly and fierce.

Lol that’s indeed many ppl problem but orchid is character who is timid and never had any friends. She is 1500 years but that’s just a baby compared to the other fairies also the real deal happens in ep 9 where Dfqc saves orchid. You need to hang till there or you can fast forward it. Orchid matures in each eps and her speaking voice is also toned down. Also you get to know her real identity in later episodes …. For now keep watching it for there chemistry. It’s worth it <33 still my top 1 xianxia.
